Need Help!

Now that I have all the big things done!! Yes Done, The one thing that I missing is the dress, yes the dress that is it, I have been to a few shops, See I am not a size 8 by any means, Can someone recommend a shop, that won't look at me like oh my dear! The ones that I have been to are just way nasty , They were in MD, One shop my mother and I went to the woman that ran the place was so damn rude, to us, TO the point I wanted to shake her, I need a size 12 to 14, I am not being  cheap, I just want to try it on , bye it be a happy bride, Like you see in the TV shows, sounds strange. Do you have a fav place that you went to.

I've always had luck at Alfred Angelo and I know a new one has just opened up in Springfield.  I haven't been there yet but it's worth a shot!

I'm not sure where you are at but maybe try Ellie's Bridal Shop in Old Town. I'm not sure what size they carry but I know they were significantly bigger on me than other shops, so I'm assuming they may have been a 12 or so.  You can probably call and ask them first, but it might be a good place to check out.  Good luck, I can imgaine how frustrated you must be because you want to look amazing in your dress.  Also, I know (from say yes to the dress) that Kleinfelds in NYC carries plus size. You could give it a shot!

I used Moni's Bridal Boutique in Manassas, VA. They are wonderful and I am not a size 8 by any means.

I actually went to David's bridal for the simple reason, that they had a variety of sizes to try on.  I wanted to see what styles worked best for me and much to my surprise - I found a dress I loved.  I didn't want to go to them because they have such a bad reputation, but I met with Kay at the Bowie store and I coudn't have been happier.  I was willing to spend a fair amount on my dress and I looked around, but David's gave me GREAT service.

David's Bridal in Waldorf was great.  I got my dress there and so did my best friend.  She is a size 22 and they had alot of dresses in or near her size to try on and the one she chose looked amazing!
