i think its busy season now with the holidays.

I am anticipating an influx in newbies after the holidays, don't ya think?

oh good point...maybe there will be a lot of engagements over christmas. I have been so busy with christmas stuff I haven't done anything wedding related since I got my dress on 11/19! I feel so out of it! FI is also busy with work right now and will be much less busy in Jan - so we will go at it again. I don't feel that old but i just look at how many days are left in the countdown - like I'm sure everyone else does! - and sometimes I feel like it's so far away and other days I know it will be here quick. I graduated in 2006, FI did too, we met there and have been together since 2004.

It seems most of the boards i am active on arr pretty quiet right now. I keep starting new topics on my month board just to have some conversation lol. I am confident that after the holidays more newbies will be rushing in! If they're anything like me, they won't waste any time...i got engaged new years eve (well technically the 1st at about 1220) and joined on the 2nd! Lol I have yet to start any Christmas shopping ...I've been so busy with the semester coming to an end and working. I feel like its going to be a last minute shopping year! ::sigh::

I got mine at Erina and it's the Midgely and Sottero Adorae. I am so in love with it! It's nice and light too.

I gradauted in 06 also! I am sure we may have crossed paths at some point maybe. ALthough I was a PR major so i mostly split my time between Chafee and Ballentine, all day- everyday haha.

I know, I still need to do my vendor reviews from our Oct wedding. I'm so bad! We got back from the honeymoon and it was like BOOM Thanksgiving, and now with Christmas right around the corner I'm crazy busy with that. I promise I'll get to it!!

i2012do - that is too funny...bet we did cross paths at some point. I was an HDF major so I was in Quinn a lot. FI was a business minor, so he was in Ballentine a lot too. I miss it sometimes, feels like a whole other life! in answer to another post, I got my dress at Helene's in East Prov - love it! So anxious for it to come in - but not until end of May, early June.

I bought my dress at Bridal Dress Express in Fall River, I'm sure you're all tired of hearing me talk about the place so I'll leave it at that :-)

It's an Alfred Angelo gown but was discontinued, I bought it off the rack. Here's a picture of my favorite part.

oh i totally miss it. Its like, I can't MOVE on and its been so long. I am going to be the girl that lives in college forever. I still go back every summer nad have a reunion and we stay at our old sorority house on campus. It was really fun the first two years- but now its getting weird, cuz we are so much older than like, the sophmores that live there- and we oggle their photos with jealousy and look in their rooms and cry.

My life is 100% different, from the way i look and dress (got rid of my brashy fake blonde hair and put on a few (well a lot of) lbs) to the way i act, and what i do. But it still seems like such a magicial amazing time- if i could go back to college and do it all voer again i would.

and i feel like, to other people, when i say that i sound so lame- but i absoltely loved it!! so You aren't alone!!!!!

haha it's funny that you mention "that girl that lives in college forever" I have a friend who now does college relations at UNC (and also is a groomsman!)

that went into that field, for the sole reason he loved college so much! I love your comment about oggling the girls photos! too funny! which soroity were you in? my brother is a senior in college (not URI) so I live a little through him still but when he graduates in may, I will have nothing haha. I am extra excited about our ceremony though - it's at christ the king right behind CVS? I'm sure you know it...and we are going to quad after for pics....oh I look and dress totally different too - it's so sad! I would do it again too - minus all the work!!!

That's so funny. a friend of mine was also a colleg-lover and she now works in admissions at JWU. She was really involved in SEC and all that stuff too and was really into getting into higher ed.

I was in alpha phi. Talk about living in college forveer, the house father is still there (he also works at the Mariner Grille but used to be teh bartender at Caseys)...
he has been the house father since her graduated URI like probably 10 yrs ago.

When my brother came to my college graduation, he was insanely jealous of him.

I know Christ the King of course!! I didn't even think to look there for a ceremony actually- I totally should have called them. Its so cute in there, and pics on the quad would be fun!! My friends got married there it was beautiful

I considered having my BM's and I take photos at alpha phi on the side porch but i didn't want to be totally lame.

yes - we are very excited about ceremony at CTK and pics on the quad and at the gardens by the fine arts center after. I also told FI I want a pic by the sign on the road

ohhh thats garden is SO pretty! My old bf in college took me there once. Probably the only nice thing he ever did (ha)...ii never even knew it existed!! its like a hidden secret garden, its so cute!

Im getting pulled between Xmas Shopping and Wedding Planning - working on selecting BM colors to order the dresses, florist appts and then calling makeup people.

I am or was going to start dress shopping after the holidays, but my sister and I went out today. Honestly I couldn't wait, but will go again when my mom comes down. from New Hampshire. We went to Davids in Attleboro and I didn't seem to fall in llove with anything, but tried on alot of styles. Went to the Alfred Angelo stoe and did better than at Davids. Went to Wishing Well and pretty much fell in love with a couple of their dresses. One was an Allure and the other, I think was a Maggie. I am feeling overwhelmed between Christmas shopping, wedding planning, and searching for budget friendly vendors. My mom is paying for my dress, but my FI and I are paying for the wedding. I think once the holiday is over I will feel a bit less stressed. TGIF!
