Olga's cat

Some of you mentioned Olga has a cat.
has anyone had allergy issues, have you had issues with cat hairs on your dress, or does she have it cleaned and steamed when she returns it.

I am slightly allergic to everything, and and I am not a animal person that is why I ask.

thanks

I am allergic to cats, but I didn't have a problem at all out her house last week.  When we were done with my fitting, she put the dress right back into the bag and took it into another room where she keeps all of them.

Ninja really couldn't be bothered with me.  He came up to me once when I walked in, but spent the rest of the time stretched out under her table.

So I don't think it will be a problem if you are only slightly allergic.

I don't have allergies, but my mom is semi-alergic to cats and we didn't have a problem when we visited.  She keeps the gowns wrapped up in their garment bag or plastic unless she's working on them.  I didn't see any trace of cat hair on my dress.

but, I wanted to mention... I love Ninja! I love how she says his name and talks to him :) lol

No worries about Ninja. As others said, the house is very clean and the dresses are always in the garmet bags.

Good question though...does Olga steam the dress when she is finished?

Olga is going to either steam or iron my dress (we're not sure which would be better for the fabric yet) when she's finished.  I'm paying for that separately.

I didn't see ninja at all when I was there in May.

Steaming is something Olga will do, but she charges extra - it's not part of the alterations.

I can't tell you how much though because even though Olga did steam my dress, we never discussed her doing so, and actually I didn't see the point because of the travel. Anyway, when I tried to fold over part of my dress in the car to allow for more space, she yelled at me and said "that is my hard work and your money! Here, I do it" - and took up the entire car with the dress. But like I said, I never asked her to steam it, and it wasn't in my estimate/payment.

No cat hair at all on my dress! And yes, she steams but it costs like PPs said.  I wish I had the receipt handy but it's upstairs in my wedding binder :)

I believe (I dont have my reciept) that it was like 30 or 40 for steaming for my dress. I'm assuming though, that it'll cost differently for different dresses.

Like the others said, I didn't find a trace of cat hair on my dress. I had Olga steam my dress & I'm pretty sure it was $40.
