Does anyone have suggestions on a photographer who is willing to do more than the standard 8 hours? i've only found one so far, and they are a little pricy

I don't know what price range you're looking in, but I'm using Melee Photography and they have an unlimited number of hours for the day of your wedding. My package is $2000, but I think it has gone up since I booked with them to $2499. My photographer is Stephanie and she has been great! We just did our engagement shoot and the pictures turned out really well. Let me know if you need any additional info!

i just booked kelly maughan and i'm in love with her work. she is so nice and professional and does unlimited coverage. her package price for unlimited all day with a second photographer and an engagement shoot (and rights to our photos on a dvd) is 2400. if you wanted only one photog or have an off-season wedding, i'd be willing to bet she'd work with you on price.

Check out Julian Allen Photography. http://www.julianallenphotography.com/ He has no time limit, and even told us that it's important to him to capture the entire event. He arrived before breakfast on our wedding day, took lots of pre-wedding family photos (for no added cost) and stayed until after 10pm. On top of that we LOVED our pictures and enjoyed working with Julian.

We are using Derk's Works. He is so nice! He is a little expensive, but we just love his photos. He stays ALL day and encouraged us to go out after the reception (it's a daytime reception) and get other cool photos around the city! His website is www.derksworks.com

The photographer I used will do all day and doesn't limit the hours (and they have two photogs) - Picture Perfect Portraits. They also do videography and they're SUPER affordable. ShannonB@picperfectportraits.com. She was always one of my most reliable vendors as far as getting back to me so I'm sure she'll send you a quote quickly.

I second Melee. SUPER affordable when you consider all that you are getting. We met them at a bridal show so we were able to get an extra special deal: engagement session, ALL day on your wedding day (seriously, they said they will go with you to your earliest appointment if you want--even if that is at 6 am!), a dvd of their work with rights, plus a guest book with e-shots for $1500ish! (We are off-season so they knocked $500 off their normal package price.)

Also: they set up a display and pass around two ipads during the reception that they continually update with pictures they have taken that day.

I am using picture perfect potraits, they are around 1700 for 2 photographers and 2 videographers and the rights to all your pictures, we get an engagement shoot.

Picture the Love does unlimited wedding day coverage with two photographers who are also husband and wife. I love them!

We used Kimberly Potterf for our photos and were really happy with her. She met us at the salon at 10 am and stayed until the reception was over at 11:30 pm. Through our package with her, we also booked a second photographer who stayed from noon until 10 (even though we only booked him for 8 hrs). We also got e-pics, an e-pic guest book, high-res and low-res discs of our photos from our e-pics and wedding, a large wedding album, rights to the photos, and a photo credit for Pictage. We thought the package price was really reasonable.

Don't freak out. I've only had a six month engagement and managed to find everything I was looking for and in my budget. I'd reccomend our photog, Kristen Yates of DegasGirl Photography. She does great work and worked with another company for several years and just went out on her own. Makes her more affordable because she's trying to work the word of mouth aspect of her business.

My photographer works out of her home. For the wedding I have her all day for $500 with the CD of all the pictures. Our engagment pictures were AWESOME!
