Anybody here a Member of RCI? I need advice...

So, FI and I went to an RCI presentation and we thought it seemed like a great Program, and we said someday we would like to potentially buy into it. well, now that we are planning a HM, I got to thinking, would it be worthwhile to Make the Down payment, then use our Points for the Honeymoon? I feel like we would be making an investment for our future (Family Vacations!) rather than going on one vacation. Any insight on this would be great!   Thank you!

    Hello.  My mom and dad have been members of RCI and Wyndham Resorts for my entire life.  Every year growing up we went on family vacations and they were fantastic.  The resorts are always beautiful and the staff is always friendly and helpful.  I'm not a member myself but since my parents have been for over 25 years I would assume it is well worth the money.  They are actually giving us a week long honeymoon in Hawaii with their Wyndham membership.  HTH!

    I highly recommend doing some research on buying into RCI or Interval. Timeshares can be great- I own two- but buy on the resale market. I'm not too well read on RCI in particular, but check out tug2.net. It's an excellent source of information!
