Dallas Knottie with a question- not wedding related

Hey girls! I am coming up your way this weekend(YAY!) to attend a wedding and get to take some pictures of my sweet nieces and their cousins.... any of yall have any indoor recs for cool locations to take pictures at? I dont want to really pay a fee since I am taking pictures for family, but they range from under 1 to 7 so indoors is important I think! Thanks!!!!

Hi! You're coming just in time for a very COLD weekend :(

    Will you be in Minneapolis?
Some great indoor places for photos are the Guthrie Theater, Como conservatory, Mpls Sculpture Garden.

Some of the buildings in downtown Minneapolis are open and accessible on the weekend that have beautiful atrium spaces like Gavidae Commons and the IDS Center!  They'd be good if you're going for more of an urban/modern vibe.  I've heard the IDS security guards can be a bit strict, though.

I believe that the Como Conservatory charges a fee... but it sure is lovely!

If it's over 30 degrees... outdoor pictures might still be feasible... there's trees here and there that still have some brilliant color to them!

I got married at the conservatory and they do have a strict pro photographer policy and you do need to pay a fee - but if you're not doing pro shots, it is free.  You can't bring a tripod seems to be the only real difference!

The Landmark Center in St Paul might be a cool place. It has lots of pillars and marble and staircases. Rice Park is right across the street. If it isn't too cold to go outside, it has a pretty fountain.
