AW: My reception dress came!

I am so excited!  My reception dress was delivered to my house today!  It's sitting in my bedroom waiting for me right now!   YAY!   I will be home from work in about 45 minutes or an hour.  As soon as I get home I am going to try it on and take pictures.  Unfortunately, I can't put my longline bra on by myself, so I have to wait until my mom gets home (around 8) to help me with that.  So I won't *truly* know how the dress will look and fit until I have that on.  But as soon as I get pics, I will post them for you ladies!

    I swore I would never be a two dress bride.  I tried to make myself happy with my first dress, but that didn't work.  Then I tried to content myself with buying a reception dress to change into for dancing, but that didn't work.  Now I've ordered a second dress, intending to wear it only for the reception.  But I am sooo in love with the second dress.  The pictures below are of me WITHOUT my corset/girdle thingie.  I may not even have to wear one with this dress, let me know what you think ladies.


    Front.  Please ignore the mess on the bed, lol.


    Right side of the dress.  I look so skinny in it!  I love it!  I wonder what it would look like with my longline bra on to suck in my tummy...


    Left side of the dress.  I love the beaded detail on the hip.

    Also, this dress has a built-in crinoline (so I can get rid of the one I've got!) and a much longer train than I had thought!  I need to get it altered a bit.  The hook above the zipper is broken, so that needs to be fixed.  It also needs to be hemmed AT LEAST 3 inches or so.  And I may or may not see about having the bust taken in a bit, but I kind of like the fact that it sticks out a bit, because it makes my 36A's look a little more like 36B's.  ;-)

    So the plan is to wear the first dress during the ceremony and change before your entrance and wear this at the reception? I think that's awesome!

    That is the plan right now, but I REALLY love this second dress, so I might end up wearing it all night.  We'll just have to see if I can sell the other one, lol.

    I don't remember what the other one looks like, but this one looks amazing.  Having BTDT, I think you should just wear this one since you love it so much.  Why bother changing?!

    Both are gorgeous on you but that one with the beading - good gravy!!  It looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!  I think you should wear it all night and forget the others.  It makes you look absolutely gorgeous!!  It's absolutely, tee total, no doubt about it PERFECT for you!!  :)  (I swear that's coming from my heart and I'm not just fluffing you up lol)  I love it!!  Can you tell?  :P

    Beth, thanks so much!  I really feel like this dress is more me.  I'm already preparing to sell the other one.

    Purple&7 I have bad news, it's been discontinued.  Sorry!  Though if you're close to my size I could always sell it to you super cheap after the wedding, haha.

    Love the pics, sessions!  I think the new dress is a GREAT reception dress.  The dress with the pick-ups in the skirt just has more formal look to it.  You could wear both if you want to! :-)

    I'm definitely gonna wear this dress the whole time.  Side note, when my mom got home last night, we wanted to see it with my longline bra, and the bra went on super easy!  It used to take like 5 minutes of straining to put it on, now it just goes right on!  I have been dieting for a week and a half and I have for sure lost weight!
