Hi everyone! I was on TK for a while (mostly on the NEY board, but I posted occasionally on this board too), then I took a break for a while, but now I'm back and engaged!! Praise God! My FI took me to see the Rio Grande Gorge in Taos, NM (we live in Las Cruces, NM) and proposed to me by the bridge that crosses the gorge - it was awesome! . . .  Here's my official introduction . . . .

First Name for you & FI: Robyn and Brian
Wedding Date: Hopefully 6-9-12
Special Religious Ceremony if any at your Wedding -i.e. Sand, Unity Candle/ 3 Stranded Cord, etc.: Not sure yet
City You Live In: Las Cruces, NM
Wedding Dress Color if You picked it: I'm definitely going to get white
Wedding Colors if You picked them: Royal blue and white/silver
Fave Bible Verse or Suggestions for this Board: Psalm 139, specifically:

P.S. I have scars on my hand from a bad motorcycle accident three years ago, before I met my fiance. Praise God that I found a wonderful man who doesn't mind putting a ring on my scarred-hand!

    Congratulations!

    I just want to say that I flew out to Las Cruces the week after graduating college to attend the wedding of a friend who was from there.  (The wedding itself was just over the TX border, in El Paso).  Beautiful country!  I felt so very out of place, though, because where I'm from we tend to get married a bit later, and my friend (then twenty-two) had all these girls in her mongo BP that were, like, twenty years old and married a year already.  (H and I were twenty-eight when we married, and many of our friends from home have never married). 

    Is your hand recovered completely from the accident?  I don't think I would have noticed the scars if you hadn't pointed them out.

    Congrats and welcome!  What a gorgeous ring!  And I agree with PP, I had to stare really hard at the picture to try to see the scars, and I still don't think I see them.

    congrats & welcome!! I am a June 2012 bride as well!

    I agree with the PP, if you hadn't said anything about your scars, I wouldn't have noticed! Your hand is beautiful with or without the ring!

    Yeah, my hand it pretty much back to normal. The color is regular flesh color, but there are a few spots and a couple marks, but I guess they're not as bad as I think!

    Yes, that's me! Yay, someone remembered me, lol. I just needed a break for awhile, but then decided to come back.

    (To avoid a gazillion responses, I'll just type all my other responses here)

    Yeah, my hand is not too bad I guess, I'm just self-conscious. Thanks for all the responses on the ring - I absolutely love it! As for the motorcycle, it was a Harley - my dad and I were driving on the freeway and the back tire blew b/c it had a nail in it. I don't remember anything, thank goodness. We got back on the bike 6 months afterward and still ride together when we get a chance.

    It's good to be back - thanks for the warm welcome! Looking forward to being more involved on TK now that I have a wedding to plan :)
