what area are you looking in?
I personally, REALLY like the U of H Chapel for a ceremony, and then the Heights Houston Fire Station as a reception venue. These both are VERY budget friendly, but they are gorgeous. If you want anymore info like pictures or price info or just questions, let me know!

If not those. what type of venue are you looking for? and for how many people /> and what area?

I'm not sure what you are looking for, or how many people, but I'm working with the same budget for everything for 100 people.  Through my research I've found the following places in our budget.  Some of them might be a little less or a little more, but they are all very close.  Also, some of them are in the budget only on a Friday(which is when I'm having my wedding because it's cheaper)

    Demers Banquet Hall
    Events Etc.
    Cleopatra's Palace
    Chateau Crystale
    Tuscan Gardens(Best Friends Catering)
    Courtyard on St. James(Friday)
Orchard at Caney Creek(Friday)(at the top of the budget)
The Phoenix B&B(higher end of the budget)(but you get the whole place for the weekend)
    Ashford Oaks

These are the places on my list so far.  I've also been told that the Heights Fire Station is very affordable and pretty, but I haven't looked into that yet.

    Hope this helps!

Definitely look into a Friday or Sunday wedding instead of Saturday if you can.

And the Heights Fire Station is highly recommended around here for those with tight budgets.

I'm goin with Chateau Crystale! You get to pick ur own decor and the menu is awsome! I'm having mine on a Sat with 100 guess. You get 5hrs event time, 1hr set up,1 hr take down. You also get free rehersal! All that for 4400...they offer the option for your wedding cake for 3.00/slice. No security deposit, no etra fees for the bar tender, security officer. You can add a dj for 750, I'm bringing my own.

I called Events etc a number of times and the lady rushed me off the phone and didn't return my calls half the time. I knew then that I didn't want to work with her because I believed that she would add unnecessary stress.

Like I said, this one is that the top of the budget, but it's gorgeous!!!

    Friday(100 people): 7000
    Friday(125 people): 8000
    Saturday(100 people): 8000
    Saturday(125 people): 9000

    Includes:
    Ceremony
Buffet w/ 2aps, salad, bread, ent, & 2sides, tea, coffee
Full Bar for 4hrs(I think this makes it worth the price easy)
    Staff with Coordinator
    Tables, Chairs, Linens
    China & Glassware
Cake Service(you bring your own cake)
    rehearsal time
bride suite & groom suite for 4 hrs prior to ceremony

The only downside is that you have to provide the cake, extra decor(if wanted), the DJ, and Minister

The awesome part is that they have accomodations for guests if they want to stay the night and not have to drive anywhere.  Their catering is suppose to be really good because I believe she said that they are affiliated with Hasta la Pasta, and some other restaurants.  Plus the photo ops alone are def something to think about.  They are on the high end of our budget, but I think what they offer is worth the price.

I had to call to get this information since as you found out, it's not on the website, and I spoke with Susan.  They are having an open house on August 24 from 2-5 if you want to check it out.  Their number is 281-944-3331.  Hope this helps!
