Vendor Reviews (LONG)

Jeana's Great Cakes- A+
       Jeana was great to work with. Very professional, yet extremely personable.  When it came time to discuss details, she knew my exact vision. Great communication. The day of, was perfect. I had no worries, she set up the cake table and decorated it for me. Cake was EXCELLENT!!! Beyond all expectations!

Amanda Egan Photography-A-
      Amanda and her assistant Beth were so much fun to work with. The only reason I give an A- is due to poor communication, and slow production of the finished albums. The photo's they were able to get were breathtaking. Loved working with them.
First Image Films-A+
      I was undecided on whether to include videography for a long time. Finally I bit the bullett, and have no regrets at all.  It was so exciting to see everything from the point of view as a guest. The day truly is a blur, and I wanted to experience everything first hand. Scott and his crew were extremely professional, and easy to work with. I didn't even know they were there, and the video still brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.
Receptions South-A++++
      I cannot say enough about the team at Receptions. Without their help, and cooperation my vision would have fallen through. The food, preparation, execution, and attentiveness to my every need were beyond AMAZING! I would highly advise everyone to use them, and will most likey use them for other events in the future.
Party Pleasers DJ (Maurice)- A++++
      When we budgeted for our night, we weighed out what meant the most to us. Entertainment was high on the list after photography and food. Maurice is the man to go to. We met at his home and he showed us the equipment, went over our song choices (as the whole night was songs that we picked), and answered all of our questions. I was so pleased with the service I received from him. We had 400 guests, and the dance floor was PACKED all night long. Thank you Maurice!!

Of course they are plenty of smaller vendors (Bridal and Formal, David's Bridal, Skeffington's, etc.) that played a large role in this day, but the above reviewed are the one's that made our evening something to remember. Any questions feel free to ask.

    I am also having my reception at Receptions but at the Fairfield location.  We're still trying to decide on our menu for our dinner.  If you don't mind, could you post any recommendations for food selections you liked.

    Just chiming in about Receptions... I also used Receptions South.  We had the sirloin roast as our carved item, and it was very good--i've had their other beef items like top round and flank steak and didn't like them at all (way too tough).  The pork tenderloin is very good--that would have been my second choice.  We also had chicken picatta, but to me most of their chicken dishes taste the same.

    The pasta pomodoro is great--I wanted a pasta dish for vegetarians.  We also had the yukon gold mashed potatoes, asparagus with red pepper sauce and baby carrots.  We got a lot of compliments on the food.

    We used Receptions West and the food was really great.  We had pork tenderloing and chicken florentine.  For sides we had applewood bacon mashed potatoes, southern style green beans, and pasta pomodoro. YUM!
