Does anyone have exciting plans for the weekend? FI and I are going to visit one of my very best childhood friends this weekend! She moved away after 4th grade and we used to get together every summer until high school. Then visited each other once when we were in college. I haven't seen her for 5 years! We always pick up right where we left off which is so amazing. Can't wait!

    I'm actually coming to DSM!  A college friend is getting married, so I've got a whirlwind, less than 48 hrs in the city weekend planned!  I'm very excited because there is a group of us that have kept in touch and gone to everyone's weddings.  I'm the last one and wouldn't you know it, one is having a baby 2 wks before our date, and I'm not sure the one getting hitch tomorrow will be coming to mine....I'm sad but at least I'll see them this weekend.

    I get to see my dress tomorrow (for the first time)!!  After that, I'm hanging out with friends from college; not sure what I'll be doing yet, but I'm sure catching up and food will be involved.  

    Sunday I am planning on addressing invitations (no more procrastination for me!).

    FI comes home tomorrow morning from his work trip and we will immediately start working on getting our new kitchen cabinets installed, and I'm expecting it to take all day Saturday and Sunday.  I'm so excited to have FI back but also excited about being on our way to a nice, new, clean and beautiful kitchen!

    In between that, we will be going to a friends birthday party and watching a Beatles cover band tomorrow night.  Should be a lot of fun!

    My weekend is going to be mostly wedding related stuff. Tonight I am going to put the finishing touches on my shower hostess gifts and experiment with making the comb to attach my veil.
    Saturday I'm having may hair and makeup trial (yay!) and then in the evening going to my future FIL's house for dinner for his bday.
    Sunday is my bridal shower. I'm excited for it to finally be here. It's been so hard staying away from peeking at my registry.

    We are finally getting our engagement pictures done!  One of our friends does photography on the side so she is taking them and will give us the disk when she is done all we will have to pay for is getting them printed.  We will be putting one of the photos in our Welcome Bags.   After we are done we will be taking her, her husband and their daughter out to eat to say thank you.

    My FI's bachelor party is this weekend, so I'm hoping to get a bunch of wedding related errands done.  It'll be girls' night tomorrow night since I'm friends with the SO's of a lot of the guys that will be gone for the weekend.  There's been some drama so I'm crossing my fingers for FI that he has a good time!

    my Birthday is tomorrow!!!  We are going to register at Target....plan on making more flowers....maybe just some down time too....that would be good.

    Tonight: BBQ dinner at my school where I work.  We'll be meeting up with my co-worker and her husband to talk wedding stuff.  Her husband is the one marrying us!

    Saturday: house hunting
    Saturday night: going out with a friend of mine

    Sunday: church and helping FI get ready for his OOT job training.

    We are picking out our menu and finalizing some other venue details tomorrow. Then the rest of the weekend we are going to be mouse proofing the house. One got in the other day :(

    I work 12 hours tonight, 8 hours tomorrnow night, 12 hours Sunday night and 12 hours Monday night. So, not much of a weekend for me!

    I'm heading to my parent's house to work on a couple DIY projects I've been putting off. I need to finish 3 out of the 4 shawls I'm making for my BM. The first one was completed so I could see what to do, the others are kind of being done in stages so i don't have to keep changing threads/bobbins. I've done all the sewing myself but I'm not so confident in my sewing to be able to do it without my mom somewhere nearby.

    I also need to pick up the wooden chest we're using for our card box. I'm planning on staining it a nice cherry wood color.
