Bridesmen Dilemma

I only have one girlfriend who is my MOH and my fiance wants to have 2 guys stand up on his side. I'm contemplating asking my best male friend to stand up on my side to keep things even but would it be awkward for him and who would he be with before the wedding, me or my fiance? Also, if he is a bridesmen, what would be a better title? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

    First, you don't need to have even sides.  But its also perfectly acceptable to have a bridesman too.  So if you want to honor your friend, invite him to join your side.  He can get ready with groom or on his own and show up where you are getting ready once you are all dressed.  And the GM and bridesman could process down the aisle walking next to each other or one at a time after MOH & BM process.

    I would call him a Bridesman, and let him choose where to get ready. I don't think it would be awkward for him.

    Ask him if you want him up there because he's a friend. He will tell you if he wants to do it or not. How would you/we know if he would feel awkward? That's up to HIM, isn't it? You won't know unless you ask.

    Don't ask him just to round out the sides.

    Call him a Bridesman ("bridesmen" = plural, "bridesman" = singular), Bride's Attendant, Honor Attendant, or simply Attendant. Or write in the program:
     
                       Wedding Party
    Jane Jones                        Stephen McDonald
    Robert Smith                      Andrew Davis

    and people will figure it out. But, really, it doesn't matter what he's called, especially if you won't be doing a program.

    My younger brother was a bridesman in my sister's wedding and will also be a bridesman for me. He got dressed at the hotel, but hung with the girls before the wedding started. He escorted our mom down the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony and took his place up front. My sis had 2 bridesmaids (I was MOH) and a bridesman and her hubby had 3 GMs. For the recessional, I walked out with 2 GMS and the other BM walked out with the 3rd GM and the bridesman.

    You should do whatever you want and you can definitely make it work!

    I am having my two younger brothers as bridesmen in my party along with my sister and best friend as MOH. I wouldn't haven't it any other way! I am very close with my brothers and wanted them involved in the wedding on "my" side..My fiance is having 6 groomsmen include his best man so we're anything even in numbers, but I wasn't going to ask random people to participate in the party just to even it out..this is meaningful to me and I'm so excited. I would absolutely not ask your friend just to even things out
