So a girl I know agreed to do my hair for my wedding. She normally cuts my hair and I trust her to do it. Well after several failed attempts to contact her as it is getting closer to the wedding I went ahead and accepted that she bailed. I asked my photographer if she had any recommendations for hair/make-up. She did and I called the girl and we finally got to talk after a game of phone tag!
She does two hair trials, day of, make-up, and then will meet me at the venue before the ceremony to make any necessary touch ups...for $80! She will do each bridesmaid for $30! I'm not requiring my bridesmaids to get their hair/make-up done professionally, but thought I'd ask them if they want it done. If I do that do I have to pay for it? I know I'm cheap, lol but I'm on a budget

    glad you found something, as for the bridesmaids...you are required to pay if you insist this person do thier hair, if you are simply offering it to them and they can take or leave the offer, then you do not have to pay for it, just make sure they are clear that you are NOT offereing to pay for it (as they can still choose to do thier own), so there is no confusion.

    also, sorry your friend bailed, but AWESOME deal you found on hair and makeup!  post pictures of your trials!  :)

    I agree, offer it to the girls letting them know it would be $30 for them if they wanted to get it done, but their choice.

    And congrats on the amazing price!!  It's nice when things actually fall INTO place in the last few weeks :)

    This is what I was thinking too. You got an awesome deal! Sorry your friend bailed. But, sometimes things happen for a reason. Congrats!

    That sounds like a great idea! If you require your guests to have professional hair and make up then you must pay, but you can certainly tell them about your deal and they can make their own decision.
