Wright's Mill Farm anyone?

Hi, I've been looking into having our wedding at wright's mill farm in may 2014. What i'm wondering about is the cost and the service. i've read some mixed reviews about the service there, but it has generally been positive. Has anyone gotten married there or been to a wedding there? How was the service ? did it seem like an organized place? was the bride stressed or anything like that? Thanks

    A friend of mine got married there! Beautiful place but she said the staff wasn't too great and not helpful. Maybe look into hiring a day of coordinator if you book there?

    I've been to two weddings there. Neither was able to achieve a "party" atmosphere for dancing. The space for the dance floor was huge, unless you are having an enormous wedding and I don't remember the lighting being all that great. It's an okay venue but there are other places I like better.

    I went to a wedding there this year. They seemed pretty organized. I heard that it was easier to work with the lady than it was the guy who owns the place. I had the surf and turf for dinner, which was delicious, but the side of potatoes was undercooked. I was disappointed that I didn't get to try the cake, they never made an announcement and I was on the dance floor the whole night, but I have heard many rave reviews of the Chocolate Rose, who makes their cakes. As for the dance floor, I feel that it is the DJ who creates a party atmosphere. The wedding was in the large room with less than 100 people which made the dance floor seem big, but we still danced all night.

    I've been to two weddings there. They were both just ok. The space is so big that it seemed like there really needed to be a LOT of people there to get the party going. It seemed like people were mostly sitting in their seats at both of the weddings. One was in the full room and the other in a partitioned off part of it. I can't recall the food at either of them.
