to get the bridal shower invitation before the wedding invitation? Due to my out of town status, I have to plan my trips wisely (flying back and forth so many times is pretty much costing us what a quarter of our wedding is costing).

They already got the save the dates, but I wasnt thinking of mailing out the invitation until early January.

Im going down for a wedding on January 30th so decided to do the bridal shower Jan. 29th. What do you girls think? When did you send your bridal shower invites?

is that not normal? all the weddings ive been in we've done the shower like 3 months before the wedding so the invites have not been sent

My bridal shower invites went before wedding invites! It's okay!!!! and I thought the norm too!

I think it's perfectly fine, I'm doing the same thing. I'm sending out my invites in January, I'm getting married the day before you. And my shower is going to be in early january, because my MOH is planning it and she's in law school in Cincinnati, so she'll only be here from Dec 18-Jan 18 so we'll have to fit the shower in, in early Jan. We'll have to send those out soon.

My wedding is March 20, 2011 and my bridal shower is January 16th. My bridal shower will be over before my invites even go out!!

ive only been to 1 wedding shower that was the month of the wedding. all showers ive ever been to have been 4 months - 3 months before wedding. i think its perfectly normal.

Patty, we're date twins and I'm doing my shower Jan 22nd and not sending out my Wedding invites until the first week in January. I think it's fine.
