I have to AW this...

This is what will be our cake topper!  It is obviously not finished yet, but I am so excited, I had to post!  I really wanted a monogram topper.  I saw on the DIY board all these girls recommending "Crafty Eddy" who can cut out pretty much anything.  Which is cool, but it's like, $14 a letter.
Lucky for me, I remembered that my dad is handy!  I bought a little piece of thin birch plywood at Michael's (I think it cost around $2), traced my letter on it & gave it to dad.  He cut it out with a scroll saw, then puttied & sanded it.  I love it, I can't wait to paint it & cover it with crystals!  Yay!

    aw!!! your dad did a great job! still debating on that kind of topper or something else.
    I had contacted crafty eddy but never ordered anytihng.. we'll see.

    Sooo cute and unique! And the best part is its DIY but your Dad helped and so it has so much more special meaning behind it. Can't wait to see it when its done!! I love seeing all your DIY projects, gives me such inspiration and ideas!! THANKS!!
