HAIR HELPPP PLEASE!

Hello,
I am getting married on a Sunday and I am looking for a place that will open to accomidate my bridal party.  There is 12 girls including me that need to have hair done.  Some girls have shorter hair so they would only need a style that day not an up do.  Im looking for a place on the south shore.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!!!!  Also what is the average price for hair?? Is there usually two prices one for up dos and one for style/blow outs?
I am not sure the prices I am getting are average.

Re: HAIR HELPPP PLEASE!

  • Have you thought about having someone come to wherever you are getting ready?  I found it to be cheaper as many salons charge an additional fee to open up early or on a day they are closed.

  • hello,
I did want to do that originally but with 12 people total needing to get ready I think that it could stressful the day of.  We are going to my mother house to finish geting ready.

  • I have 9 girls in my party and I hired someone to come out to me. So far the process has been stress free. They are bringing 2 stylists and the timing I was given was less than I thought it would be. I figured it would be  harder to coordinate so many girls at a salon than just having a few people to travel to you.
  • I had 10 people getting their hair done (me, MOH, 6 BMs, MOB, MOG) and we had someone come to us.  We also had makeup come to us.  We had one stylist for each and they just alternated who worked on who.  Altogether maybe took 4-5 hours for everyone to get done for both.  It was not stressful at all and we just made a fun time of it - had food, music, etc.  Would do it again in a heartbeat.  Here's who we used in case you're interested.  I have pics and reviews in my bio if you're interested

  • I read, I'm getting married THIS sunday and I have 12 girls... I started to panic for you. I'm good now.

I would consider having people come to you. They will let you know the timing and how many people are needed to get everything done in your alloted time.

With that being said, I went to a salon, with a much smaller party, on a saturday. It was just as chaotic in the salon because we we're waiting on different people at different times and we couldn't relax like we could at home. We did get take out there, but it's not as relaxing and you can't really multi-task at a salon.

If you want to do a salon, I would suggest maybe a mall salon. They are open 7 days a week-- I got my prom hair done at Regis in the south shore, and they did a nice job, haha. Price out different options and see what works best for you. I was surprised when I did a comparsion that the prices were fairly comparable.

  • Hello,
Thank you for your suggestions.  I would like to do it at a salon because my mother doesnt need all of us at her house for that many hours...we can get loud together and I dont want to add any stress to the day for her. If doing it at the house was an option I would definately be doing that.
  • Where are you located? Try talking to your normal hair stylist and see what she is willing to do.  My hair stylist is Tanya from Angeli Salon in downtown Danvers.  She may open early for you if you talk to her about it.
