Just got a call from one of my hotel blocks asking me about canceling my reservation for the group rate. I had sent in my contract MONTHS ago and haven't had any contact w/ them since; we def. still have the rooms reserved. The guy called me and told me that "Wally" said I called him about wanting to cancel. I suggested maybe someone from my party called to reserve and there was confusion but he just kept talking about canceling and how they can only reduce the rate by $5 and can't go any lower...WTF? I never called haha. Just thought it was kinda funny/weird.
