Garage sale finds! And giving away some brooches!

We were super over-staffed at work today, so the two full-timers at my ride (myself and my team lead) volunteered to go home early since we could make up the hours on another day. That gave me the entire afternoon free. With $20 in my pocket and a free Friday afternoon, what's a bride to do? Go garage saleing, of course! And yes, I did just make up a verb. :)

The results were rather astounding. I managed to stumble upon a neighborhood in Sevierville that was cram packed with sales, and all of them had good deals! I bought something at every single sale I went to.

Total cost: $16
Results:

2 crystal, 3 class and 1 plastic bowl for our candy buffet
1 large punch bowl (for lemonade or punch)
butterfly pin
tupperware container full of clip & pierced earrings and a few brooches

The container of earrings was by far my favorite find. She had it marked "$3 for all" and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was exactly what I'd been hunting for!! I separated them out into colors, and have some that I'd be happy to give to other October brides making brooch bouquets. My colors are dark red and gold, so I don't have a ton of use for blue ones.

I figured you guys would find the next one funny. :)

Kitties can't resist new stuff! I had a hard time getting a good picture because these two kept sticking their noses (and paws) in everything!

Here are the earrings/brooches separated into colors:

Red, which I'll be using.

Pink, which I may use some of. They look purple in this pic but they're actually mostly a shell or baby pink.

Blue/purple. These would work great for someone with a peacock theme, and I won't be using them so I'm giving them away. If you want them, drop me a PM. First come first serve.
