artistic photographer

Since you ladies are so wonderful at recommending photographers, I am coming to you again. I met with a bunch of photographers and have now noticed that there seem to be 2 different styles of albums. One seems to be the background pic with a couple of other pictures in a rectangle over them. I think those books are made with a template of some sort.
The other book seems to be much more artistic with pictures blending together and not as many rectangle pictures. I hope that I am explaining this correctly!

I would like an album designed with a more artistic flair..an example of this work would be sean patrick photography.
Does anyone know any other photographers that do not use the templates and instead use a more artistic approach?  Thanks so much!

I'm using Cathy Pinsky.  We are getting a flush mount album - the background of each page is a larger picture with smaller pictures imposed over it.  She seemed to be willing to do whatever we wanted which I'm assuming would include non-rectangular pics.  She is in Bedford, NY, but coming over to NJ for our wedding at Florentine Gardens.

Figtree Productions. We just booked them and their albums are GORGEOUS--all custom designed in Photoshop (no templates), so no two albums are the same. They also said they'll go back and forth with you as many times as you need to get the pages just how you want them.

Very artistic and creative, every album very unique.
Take a look at their samples in their studio!

I'm using Jason Rhee.  I had to upgrade to the bigger album when I saw his sample...absolutely gorgeous!  I'd never seen one so artistically done.  Plus, his price was very reasonable, IMO.

I think Artist European has a similar style to Sean Patrick.  I can't find their website though.

But those aren't the only options -- our photographer for example has albums that don't have the pictures in the background at all.  Just clean white or black pages with pictures on them.  I personally find that more artistic because you really see the beautiful photos rather than getting distracted by the picture of the shoes blended in the background.

There are also albums where prints are mounted, etc.  You may want to look at more photographers' websites to see if there are other styles you may like even more!  You can see some other styles here: http://www.queensberry.com/albums/gallery/

Also, if you really love a photographer's work but are eh on the style of albums, you could always have albums made by someone else (as long as you own the rights to the pictures).  That could be a better way to go instead of having to choose between photos you love and album styles you love (if you can't find both that you love in the same person).

What about Ahmet Z? You don't hear about him much here on TK, but he's done two of my friends weddings and his work is really awesome. He's on facebook and has a website too http://www.ahmetze.com/

I will second Jason Rhee...His albums are quite similar and his prices are very reasonable for what you get.
