AW: E-pic session done

So, we had an AMAZING engagement pic session today. Started at 3:45 and we are just getting home at 10pm. We did 5 locations, 4 outfits, 300-400 images, and had a TON of fun. If you are in the Dallas or NYC area, I HIGHLY recommend Kristina Fanelli (Koi Images and Photography on google).

For $350 we got all of the above, plus full retouching, digital copies, an e-pic book, our choice of printed STD or a mounted 8x10. We went with the 8x10 so she is sending us the STD in PDF form for us to have printed.

Between amazing murals, goofy/fun props, and all the laughs, I am dead set on having her shoot the wedding.

  • I knew all along I would love her - I went to HS with her but were in different crowds. I just wish my feet loved it as much as I do. So. freaking. sore.

Word of advice ladies still planning pics - flip flops.. bring them. Take off your heels anytime you are walking. I would be in a wheelchair had I not had a pair.
  • That's so exciting! I can't wait to see some of them! You must be so relieved to know you can trust and be excited about your wedding photographer!

Thanks for the tip Kendall! Can't wait to see your pictures! Sounds like you guys had a blast.

We are having E-pics done tomorrow. We are doing 2 looks. The first is a casual shoot on a picnic blanket in a grassy part of my college campus, appropriately named Sweetheart Circle! (It got its name from the old days, when guys and girls were divided all week except Sundays for BBQs, and were allowed to walk around together!) There are lots of pretty trees and flowers. Then we are going into the downtown part of campus for the dressy shoot. I should have pics up by the end of the month.

If your in Savannah, GA, check out Randall and Hannah Nowill! $100-45 min travel, 3 hours of time, DVD w/lightly retouched prints (all of the ones we like) and copyrights.

  • Yeah, we had a blast. Ours were as follows:

Location 1 - Dallas Arboretum. The formal "pretty" pictures. I was in a dress *cringe* and we took photos on the steps, in the gardens, throughout the reflecting pools etc

Location 2 - Deep Ellum (think arts/independent music club district with tons of grafitti/murals) Same outfits as Arboretum (All black/white with pops of red)

    Location 3 - Downtown loft - Zombie outfits :D

Location 4 - Downtown rooftop over looking the Dallas Skyline. I had on a red tank and a blue/white striped sailor jacket with jeans/heals. He had on a button down blue shirt

Location 5 - Streets of the industrial district - I had on a slate colored military jacket/jeans and flipflops (I gave up on heals) and he had on a black shirt.

Props - Zombie shoes/socks/cheesy shirt, chalkboards, initial letters, Nerds, Diet Mtn Dew Can (FI had it in the car on our way there, photog saw it and was like GIMME GIMME!), ring box, sign that has a cute quote, modern sofa with damask pillows, black cat (photogs kitten was REALLY curious about the zombie stuff and made for adorable outtake style pics)

Aw are you not a fan of dresses? I'm not really a dress kind of girl either. Jeans are my life. I wish I had more cute dresses, but I have such a hard time finding cute dresses that fit me right.

You know those dresses that have built in bras, or even just any kind of line or ribbon across the front, where the bottom of that line is supposed to rest under your bosom? Yeah, won't work. Boobs are supposed to fit in that region. Usually, the bottom of the bra/line, ribbon, whatever cuts across the middle of my girls. Of course I can try to hoist them up and make them fit in that space, only to have them massively hanging out the top!!! This, to any less endowed friends here, is one of many reasons NOT to envy girls with a big chest. I will get a reduction one day. Sigh.

Haha yes! :P Being plus-sized, I may have it a bit easier as they are cut for bigger chests.

And it's not that I hate dresses...it's that my lifestyle doesn't really suit them. I am in love with most of Torrid's dresses. They all have that vintage 50s housewife cut which is flattering on almost any shape. :P This is my love right now (Think a cropped bolero length white cardi and espadrilles with it)

Zombie?! That is the most amazing thing ever! :D Totally jealous.

You definitely should post pics (especially those D:<).

I, too, love Torrids clothes. They're just so dang expensive. :(

  • Well, *we* weren't zombies ;P

Me: Black zipper cowl neck shirt (black), jeans, neon zombie shoes, and zombie dangle earings.

Him: "Have you seen my zombie" Tshirt that has a suprise (saving that for posting pics), jeans, and black socks with neon green skeleton (like the leg/foot bones)
  • I have been meaning to check out Torrid but there isn't really one close to me! Definitely going to hit them up sometime soon though. I really like that dress!

Oh. Well. That's not as cool. LOL Just kidding. I still want to see photos. I don't think FI will go for even that. I think he wants dressy type ones. I don't know for sure though, we haven't talked much about photos. Yet. :P
