Bachelorette Gift Bags

I wanted to put together a bag for all the girls coming to my bachelorette party. Is it ok for the bride to do this? Any ideas for the gift bags?

You can, but it's really not the norm. I've only seen one of two other posters ever ask about favors for bach parties, and even then I've never seen it in real life.

If you were doing a themed party - for example wine country - you could get everyone a bottle of wine or something. Skip any kind of "emergency" kit because those have junk that everyone has and regularly packs on trips.

I have my BP this Saturday - it's a wine tour. I got the girls wine glasses with their names on them. I'm lucky that my BP is small - otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford it. I just figured they are doing so many nice things for me I wanted to give them a small token for coming and celebrating. good luck to you!! Congratulations!

I'm doing little things for the BP that I guess are closest in line to being like the "emergency kits", but just kind of more little party goodie bags (candy necklace, a ring pop, a thank you card, maybe something else).

we went out to vegas for my best friend's bach party, and she had little bags made up with mints and chapsticks that had stickers with her name and the date and "vegas bachelorette"....oh and also big light up fake diamond rings. It was cute, but i've never been to a bach that did anything like that. If you want to, I say go for it. Especially knowing your bridal party- if it were me, I can ALWAYS use another wine glass!

I don't think it's really appropriate for the bride to give these out, sorry. A bride can't host her own batch party, so this would be something that a host would need to put together and give out. You can certainly give them a thank you gift, but that would need to be AFTER the party.

The only bach party I attended where there were favors, the host of the party (the MOH) gave them out, not the bride. Since you aren't hosting your own party, I would find it a bit odd for you to give out favors.

How many people are invited to the batch party? If it's just your bridal party, I see nothing wrong with doing a little thank you sort of thing. If it's anyone outside of the batch party, I would forego it, it runs into hosting territory.

I LOVE bach gift bags. It depends where/when you're doing it...

You could do a tote bag with initials.. a towel... a hangover kit (which I love), sunscreen, lipbalm.... for just a couple quick ideas!

My good friend(BM) is hosting my bach party along with my sister (MOH). It is a girl weekend sleepover type party..Just my bridesmaids coming. My friend told me that I needed to give out some favors at the party because that is my job. I thought that was odd. I would think it ok to give her a hostess gift and everyone a thank you gift and card in the mail after the party..I just did not think I should have to think up some favors? Anyone have thoughts on this? Thank you!
