I haven't met with any florist yet, but I am in the middle of trying to set up appointments. I don't want to spend too much on flowers. I am looking for any ideas/suggestions of fairly priced florist to look into. Thanks!

    I'm using Meade Wenzel. She works out of her house which allows her cost to be super lower than the florist shops! She's AMAZING!!! She was about $2,000 cheaper than Bees, etc. for the same amount of flowers!  You tell her what your budget is and she works around it!!! Her number is 289-9883.Good luck!! :)

    I am using Fat Cat Flowers. She is more than willing to work with any sort of budget, and has great ideas in order to bring costs down! HTH

    I used Erin Steen for my wedding (and RD) last month. She was amazing and I highly recommend her. Because she also works independently out of her house, her prices were so much more reasonable than other places I looked into - we were able to get all of our centerpieces, bouquets and boutinnieres, aisle flowers, 2 large displays, etc for $1500.     Thanks for all the suggestions! I have heard a lot about both Meade and Erin, so I will definitely look into both ladies. The prices sound awesome and judging by your statements their work does too! Can't wait to speak with them. Thanks again!

    I'm using Beth Achord. She works out of her house, but her day job is at a flower wholesaler, so she gets really good prices. I'm getting a peony bridal bouquet, 3 gerbera daisy bridesmaids bouquets, all of the necessary corsages and bouttinieres, 2 big arrangements for the church, pew markers, cake topper, and she's letting me borrow some vases for centerpieces even though I'm not doing flowers in them, all for $800.

    Christina O'Malley is also wonderful.  She provided fabulous flowersfor my wedding: 3 bridesmaids, flower girl basket and hair wreath, corsages, boutonierres, isle decor, centerpieces, delivery and set up all for under $900. She works out of her home, therefore has very low overhead.  She also came up with alternative suggestions to keep me under budget. I had black magic roses, orchids, cala lillies and hydrangas.  Her pricing was AT LEAST 1/3 less than I was quoted by two other well known NOLA wedding florists. Our flowers were stunning.     Meade Wenzel is the best!  She is a true professional and her prices are VERY reasonable.  Also, she's been working in New Orleans for a long time, so knows the wedding venues well.  She took the stress out of all matters floral.  When I showed up for my big day, I couldn't have been happier with with the elegant, romantic arrangements and with the care she put into creating them.  -- Jane Rawls Ayrod
