Ceremony Music List?

I really need help finding ceremony music for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk down the aisle to then for me to walk down to (besides the bridal march I really don't like that) and lastly a song to walk back up the aisle with... We are wanting to do just instrumental possibly lyrics with the song when we come back up the aisle. Any suggestions or what have you all done or are going to do?

I, too, am not a fan of the traditional Bridal March ("Here come the bride..") nor am I a fan of Pachobel's Canon in D.
Instead, the Fiance and I have picked out Isreal Kamakawiwo'ole's ("IZ") Somewhere over the rainbow!!!!  He does it beautifully and since my mom's family comes from Hawaii it only seems appropriate.

I think you can pick anything you find beautiful, meaningful, and inspriring.  Anything that connects you to your fiance/future husband.

If you're a "Country Bride" (just saw that in your profile) I'm sure you could come up with some very beautiful, meaningful, appropriate country songs.  May not be traditional, but could be very special!

  • Definitely not doing the bridal march. I am walking down the aisle to I'll be by vitamin string quartet. Originally it's by Edwin McCain. The girls are walking down to cannon in d. And the moms are walking in to hallelujah. Then for the processional we are doing lucky by colbie Caillat and Jason mraz. But I may change that to brighter than the sun by colbie. Vitamin string quartet has remade a lot of songs into pretty ceremony type music. So check them out! Good luck!

  • you might want to listen to country artist Joy Collins "I Do". It beautifully says it all.
