The post last night got me thinking... I know a lot of us haven't booked a florist yet (I have though), but what are your favorite wedding flowers? Are there are types of flowers that you want to use a lot of in your wedding?

We're using a lot of pink cymbidium orchids, which look like this:

with a lot of white hydrangea also throughout the wedding. I love peonies, but I decided I didn't want them used in the decor, so I'm just going to have some in the bouquets with orchids and hydrangea and freesia.

I like gerbera daisies, but am using my faabulous fake flowers made from birchwood shavings- most of them look like gerberas though :-) Also got ones that look like lilies and roses.

I think I want to do something in the gerbera daisy/zinnia/rose area. I love calla lilies, but I'm sure they're too expensive. I like bigger flowers and not a whole lot of filler.

I love Gerbera Daisies... My mom not so much... Using them in my bridal boquet to make it special as well as stargazer lilies...

My favorite flower is a calla lily. Our wedding is only consisting of roses and calla lillies. Colors ivory and red.
My bouquet is like this

And BMs like this.

Then these flowers will be scattered everywhere. I just love white and ivory roses.

I love gerbera daisies as well. Since I'm not having a bridal party flowers aren't really a big deal to me. I found this bouquet on etsy that I want: http://www.etsy.com/listing/91004983/las-vegas-poker-destination-button? But not sure what to do for FI's boutonniere (not even sure if he wants one lol)?!

I love peonies. But they're expensive and don't really hold up well, from what I've been told. I love roses though. So I plan on using ivory garden roses and 1 or 2 peonies in my bridal bouquet. I have no idea what the bridesmaids are going to be carrying.

Our centerpieces will be mason jars with a bunch of greenery and then a single ivory rose. And some purple flower that's budget-friendly. Other than that, I really don't want anymore flowers. Especially not on the cake.

We haven't met with a florist yet, but my favorite flower is alstromeria. Mostly because it comes in a lot of colors, is pretty simple and is really cost effective. I worked for a florist in college, and I just can't justify spending lots of money on flowers that die quickly. But, I will probably include a white rose or something special in my bouquet as a rememberance of my dad.

Same here and we have our florist! My flowers will have peoines and hydrenageas! The girls will have hydranageas! It is expsensive but worth it!!!

Each table receiving their own type of flower, but this is the overall look. All are rather small, nothing tall. Didn't mean to rhyme...

and interspersed throughout we will have...

(I love the gold mason jar and cotton, not planning on having the wood it sits on).

I was also thinking of DIY-ing huge baby's breath pomander balls to hang.

I love white peonies and cala lilies. Expensive taste, I know

I'm pretty open to whatever the florist may suggest though - I figure they are the experts on what looks nice!

We were planning on having peonies, hydrangeas, and maybe some baby breaths. We do plan on using branches as well in our theme, including bells of Ireland branches. This could all change as our views change at times!

We are going the silk flower route to save money... plus my FMIL can make a beautiful bouquet! We're planning on having calla lilies, roses, and carnations. For me I will have purple roses with white calla lilies and the BMs will have a little bunch of white calla lilies with a little purple on the inside, and the GM will have a single one of these as well as their boutonniere. FI will have an all purple calla lily. Carnations will probably be incorporated in the ceremony decorations somehow, or maybe mini carnations mixed in my bouquet (it was my grandmas favorite flower- she passed away years ago from breast cancer so I wanted her favorite flower in there).

Just met with florists today - the quotes were all within $1000, but they all ended up being a lot less than what we budgeted. =D

I love hydrangeas, dark purple lisianthus, carnations, carnation minis, orchids & peonies. I would love a peonies bouquet but they are not in season during the wedding so will be expensive to import in, decision!

We're going to have 4 or so different flowers: dark purple lisianthus, Purple/white wild roses, blue delphinium, white and purple freesia, blue and purple hydrangeas. My bouquet will have more dark purple and my girls will have more white with lighter purple. The guys will have white rose with purple freesia and delphinium bouts and DF will have a white rose, a lisianthus and a delphinium for his bout. Our centerpieces will be in square vases and with hydrangea bases with the rest of the flowers thrown in. I can't wait to see what the look like!
