Videographer suggestions

We found a venue for our 2013 wedding thanks to the suggestions we got here.  We're now looking for a videographer which to us is more important than a photographer.  My fiance has serious vision problems - completely blind in one eye - and we're counting on a videographer to film the wedding so he can "see" everything he missed at a later time. We're looking for someone who would be very understanding of our situation, easy to work with, and helpful - another set of "eyes" without being overbearing.  If you know anyone like that in the Montco area we'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I think you're going to get the "what's your budget?" follow-up comment.  We're in the process of looking for a videographer as well.  Albeit, it's lower on our priority list than the photographer we've reserved.  I'm finding though that on average, they are more expensive than what I was planning on spending.

Anyway, looking forward to the comments and suggestions as much as you are.  I'm sorry I can't be more help.

I was just going to type "What's your budget?"...

I can wholeheartedly recommend my videographer. He's absolutely fantastic: www.tweedweddings.com

Edited: I just realized in linking to his website that he's not taking any new inquiries until Feb. 14th. He's definitely worth a contact, I promise.

  • My sister had been on this board and she's trying to help too.  Since this is so important, we haven't figured out a budget yet.  She says no more than 5K.  I have no idea.
  • I'm planning to use lucky productions. Therese did a great job for my FI's brother and sister.

  • I am using Branded Productions. I also looked at Your Cinematic Wedding and Blossum productions. We had a smaller budget but didnt want just a documentation video. These had some more cinematic elements to it. Not sure if that is your style or not. Branded is wonderful to work with though. Ed is very nice and really listened to what I wanted. Hope that helps.

  • we're using BeFilms :-)
  • I used Your Cinematic Wedding. My highlight reel is a few threads down. He was fantastic. I also know he dealt with a couple who had a similiar situation. The bride was legally blind without her glasses. Anyway, Michael was great and I highly reccomend him. Your budget is well over what he charges. :)

  • Well my video budget was no where near 5K and we are using Martin's. If we were going to spend thousands we would have gone with Video One Productions.

So are we!!  How did you find them?  I'm obsessed!

  • My videographer is Joe from picsElated Studios.  He's really awesome.
  • We got married in June and used Branded Productions and were thrilled with them! We absolutely love our video and have many friends who have used them as well and they too are thrilled! They aren't too terribly expensive but they aren't cheap either - we found that with most companies the cheaper they were, the quality was quite terrible.

Check out Branded Productions website: www.brandedvideo.com

    Cheers!
  • We used Stafford Productions for our January wedding and were so happy with them!  We just received our highlight video and it is beyond amazing!  Matt is great to work with and very affordable, definitely check out the website: www.staffordproductions.net

    Good luck!!
  • I looked up different videographers, and narrowed it down that way. We had a meeting with them, and they seem great :-)
  • We loved Ed at Branded Productions. I found him on TK because someone else also posted how great he was. When we went to meet with him I got all teaty eyed at his video sample. They seem to catch the little moments that you don't usually get to see. (ie the moment the couple made it down the aisle and first looked at each other when they we out of everyone else's view. It was super sweet. ) As for videographers that have a cinematic effect, I thought he was the best deal for what we were getting. We are getting a "movie trailer" of the day for us to watch on our honeymoon. It finishes with "Coming Soon..." :) His website has a chat room you can open, and he immediately starting answering my questions. It was pretty awesome. Other videographers made me wait days of weeks for email responses. Then they were upset that I had booked before they got back to me.
