First dance

Are you guys practicing a routine?  Do you have desi and western dancing included?  Are you guys getting professional help, like dancing lessons or something, if you are including like tango, or a waltz or something.

No, I don't think we want to do that. I think that dance should be about us, enjoying the moment, dancing to a song we like. I want it to be a special simple thing between us, not something that we choreograph and to use as entertainment for our guests. I prefer seeing couples just dance together and enjoy that moment, although I am sure they enjoy choreographing a dance too. I guess I just prefer the intimacy of a simple first dance between man and wife.

We did our first dance song to Tere Naina from Chandi Chowk to China hindi movie.  We didn't take dance steps, but we just did a kind of revolving slow dance in the center of the dance floor.  We enjoyed the time on the dance floor.  I wished we did lessons, maybe for an anniversary :D

I wish we had that kind of time to do this, but me and FI practiced once and we are doing a four step waltz with some dips and lifts keeping it easy since we have only one more chance to practice it, hopefully we wont look like fools..if we do will I told FI just smile and keep moving lol

That's hard to do :)  Our first dance song went right into bhangra - everyone was itching to get onto the dance floor, instead of watching us prance around on it hehe

I have a cousin who got married and his wedding was kind of a circus. It was one of those weddings that was very much 'for show'. They didn't really have time to choreograph a dance but they did, anyway, without enough practice time. When the time came, they were stumbling through the steps, one knew them and the other didn't. All you could see was her giving him dagger eyes telling him what to do next. In a room with pricey decor and pricey everything, it's nice to have one real, concrete moment inbetween you two. They were both pretty embarrassed, to say the least, that their salsa number didn't work out.

Then again, they didn't have enough time to practice. But, the dance they did at their sanji was awesome.

Us, on the other hand...we just like to enjoy the party. We're not choreographing anything together...especially since we're so far apart!!!

I think I would like some lessons, nothing amazing to choreograph, just a few turns and dips, but I am not a dancer and most likely stumble my way through it.  I just don't want to ruin the moment by stepping on his foot and he stepping on mine.  We are both not much of dancers.

Nicky, I am sure, your routine will go off without a hitch.

We were planning on a Tango, which would have required dancing lessons. The plan haschanged somewhat, so I'm not sure what, if anything, we're doing now.

We are the most uncoordinated couple ever. Really. He once stepped on my toes during a dance lesson. It was over before it started.

That said, we will do what comes to us naturally, it's probably safer that way. And just to be sure, we are going to pick a nice, slow song so that we don't look weird during our high school slow dance :)
