So my aunt's church has started doing Trees for Troops. It's from this Saturday-Dec 3rd. Her church is right in Smokey Point so I thought I might let you know in case you were interested, or could pass the word to people in your H's command? You don't have to of course, but I thought since you're right there I would give you a heads up (especially since trees are freakin' pricey :P ) 

Completely free, BEAUTIFUL, and big trees for Active duty.
 It's not a ploy to get you to join their church or donate at all! They just love supporting the military any time they can. Completely free, and they have cookies, cider, hot chocolate, and a place to take pics (for kiddos ). 

I have the website so you can check it out or pass it on it you want, but not sure I want to post it in public so I can pm ya. Just lemme know :]

    (oh, also, My aunts said that they can deliver the trees to that housing area with no problem, since they know that not everyone has the means/car to lug a big tree home.)

    I'm way too excited about getting a Christmas tree... lol

    That's cool! We aren't getting a tree and it makes me all sad. I grew up cutting down our tree each year, so it is a bummer that it is soooo expensive down here and the trees are scrawny.

    Thanks for letting me know!  They have been doing advertising through our FFSC too.  We do the fake tree thing, but I know lots of people are talking about going to get a tree there!
