Caribbean Honeymoon

Hello,

My fiance and I are in the midst of planning our honeymoon. We want to go to one of the Caribbean islands/countries, but have some questions. 

We were thinking Domican Republiac, Jamaica, Barbados, Aruba, Curacao. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to fill me in. 

The main question I have is safety. For those that have traveled to any of these places, are they all safe? 

And what are your general thoughts? Do you prefer any over the others?

    Hey! We're going to DR for our honeymoon. It is very safe if you stay away from the capital Santo Domingo. My brother lived there for 10 years after he finished medical school there and I travled there a lot growing up. It is so beautiful and offers so much to do. You can go scuba diving or zip lining or go sight seeing. We have booked a resort in PuntaCana. It is the best resort on the island and I can tell you it was way cheaper than and much nicer than any resort in some other places for the same amount of money. I would really recomend DR, you get so much more for what you pay and the people there are so nice and very friendly. We're staying at the Royal suites Turquesa for 10 days. It's an all inclusive resort and it is so gorgeous. They even offer a Honeymoon suite, which we also got. I would highly recomend you check out DR. I was really confused about a location too and was so frustrated that I was just going to go ahead and just book a cruise but I checked out DR first and I'm so glad we're going there instead of a cruise.
