Need a little help!

I am planning from out of town and I have most of the stuff covered but I have a few things left on my to do list.
I am trying to decide on who should do my cake, the lady I wanted was booked for my day so now it is between Amy's cakes and Ruth Sweete Justice cakes? If anyone has used either can you tell me what you liked, didn't and anything in between.
The other thing is I need an officiant, I have contacted Beloved Officiants but they seem to be a slow moving machine, does anyone know of a Justice of the peace or a non denominational officiant?

Thanks!

I know that most people just love Ruth's cakes, but I have seen a few bad experiences go down... I'd personally go with Amy Cakes.

ETA:  I don't have an officiant recc' for you, but whatever you do, DO NOT use a man named Dino Vela!!!

Are you getting married in the OKC area or Tulsa area?

Avoid Ruthe's OVER priced and cake does not taste good.

As far as an officiant, I have no one recommend but I'm willing to do research :)

Also, I don't know who you had planned to use who is already booked, but if you haven't yet, check out Sugar in Norman (they have an OKC shop now too, I think).
I had a tiny bit of trouble with the color of my cake (that only really I noticed.  lol) but their cakes are fan-freaking-tastic tasting!!!  And even though the color was off, it was still a beautiful little cake!!!

And they delivered all the way from Norman to Arcadia for like next-to-nothing, so that was fabulous!

P.S.  They made the super cute groom's cake too.  :-)

Ok thank you, I think I will go to Amy's cake! Any help on the officiants would be most appreciated.

I'm going to be honest and say that if I could do it all over again, I would have a family friend get ordained online, and have them do the wedding.  That way you can really truly have it the way you want it.

I have had cakes from both places and I would go with Amy's if I had to choose. Ruth's is definitely not all that..!!

I have thought about having a friend get ordained, but I would not want to offend someone if we asked another friend.

FYI - Sugar is not yet open in OKC, I live down the street from the new location and it wasn't open yet about 2 weeks ago.  I will be around 63rd and Western though.  I haven't heard great things about Ruth's, their cupcakes are good, but not amazing.  I have heard great things about Amy's, Rosebeary's and Madison on Main.  Good Luck!!

Even if the OKC shop isn't open, Sugar will deliver anywhere in the metro (and went all the way to Arcadia for me!) so other than having to drive to Norman for your consult, that's really it.

I have looked at Sugar's work and it is spectacular! If it tastes half as good as it looks it's a winner.

It really tastes awesome.  We had white cake for our big cake and chocolate chip fudge for the groomscake.  They were both fantastic.  The chocolate chip fudge was my favorite though.

Just wanted to add my two cents about Sugar.  i'm one of those people who absolutely doesn't care what a cake looks like, but I LOVED the way sugar's cakes tasted.  Our wedding is in a couple of weeks, and I'm nervous that they might lose some quality now that they've opened the new store, but I will say that the cakes we tasted were awesome.  I let you know how mine turns out.
