I need HELP with picking a band!!!!

Can someone please provide band suggestions for the NOLA area?  We are looking for a fun, up beat band that's going to have everyone on the dance floor.  I'm looking to spend $2,500 - $3,500.  Some of my options right now are......Wise Guys, Groovy 7, MoJeaux (a little expensive though).....My problem is, I haven't heard any of the above play.  Suggestions please......  I was looking into LA Spice but go figure, they're already booked!  Thanks!!!!!

I hear that MoJeaux is great! it was in our top pics. We got The Topcats and love them. Very upbeat and fun. Good Luck!

Our wedding hasn't happened yet, and I can't say anything about the other bands, but we hired Groovy 7 after hearing them play.  We didn't listen to any other bands - I was familiar with a few others, but after hearing Groovy 7, we liked them a lot and decided to just go with it.  They have both male and female vocalists and they have been super responsive and easy to deal with so far.  I think they have gotten good reviews from some other people on this board too.

I've heard both Mojeaux and Groovy 7 play and they both were awesome! I'm using a DJ for mine, but if I was choosing a band, I'd find a way to afford Mojeaux HANDS DOWN! To me, they seemed a lot more fun, interactive, and they had a more comprehensive playlist. Hope this helps!

I saw Groovy 7 and Mojeaux both play and my parents and FI all agreed on Groovy 7. We wanted to hear the rest of their set they were so good! They literally played EVERYTHING which I loved. Mojeaux seemed to play a lot of MJ which I like but it was just a little much (and the lead vocalist was pretty screechy sounding when doing it). But if that's your cup of tea then go for it! Check Youtube, you might be able to find some performances that people have posted on there!

i just booked four unplugged, $3,500 for 3-4 hour reception.  they play all the saints and LSU fight song which is a plus for me.  they also will play cd's of your choice on breaks.  Groovy 7 was $3,700 for 3 hours.  My top pics were mojeaux and top cats too, but i waited too long.  I'm happy with the band i chose and im thankful to the person that suggested them to me.  good luck!

Four Unplugged played my recent wedding at the Omni Royal Orleans. They were absolutely amazing!! I cannot tell you how many people came up to me and said that they were the best wedding band they had ever heard. On top of that, we had almost every guest on the dance floor.

Four Unplugged ended up being the best decision we made hands down!
