Aviation Heritage Museum?

Has anyone been to a reception at the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum on Lake Hood in Anchorage? We're planning a June 2011 wedding and we really want a kind of offbeat venue in town (about 200 guests) that doesn't feel like a reception hall and will let us use our own caterer. The aviation museum seems like a possibility, but I'd love to hear from someone who's seen it in action.

    I havent been to a wedding there BUT it's a terrific place to visit.

    I have been to a holiday party there, and it was BEAUTIFUL! That is our backup plan if our first place falls thru! AND the manager or event planner or whatever, is wonderful!

    I seriously considered there but I was thrown off by not having liquor.  It is a beautiful location though.
