I told you after reading your recipe for Monkey Bread that I went out and bought the things to make it.  Well, I made it last night for dessert (I was so impressed with myself that it turned out beautiful LOL) and now I'm eating it again for breakfast with my coffee - MmmmMmmMmmm.  So Button, if I don't fit into my wedding dress, it is all YOUR fault.  Your grammy's recipe is yummy though.

    Hah.  I was just about to put some booze in my coffee, but my FFIL just called and asked me to bring his truck out to him at his camp ground (about a 30 minute drive) so I think I'll wait til I get back.

    Hah.. I know!  FFIL called and asked what I was doing today and my response was "Well...I have to go to the post office".  That was going to be my adventure for the day, but now it looks like I actuallly have something I HAVE to do - so exciting!  LOL  Have fun on your bank and coffee run!

    I thought I would share so everyone can get fat. ;-)

    Button's Grandma's Monkey Bread Recipe

    4 packages of butter milk biscuits (the kind in the tube)
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
    1 Stick of butter (i didn't say this was good for you)
    1/2 cup brown sugar

    Grease 10" bunt pan.
    Cut each biscuit into quarters. (or smaller if you'd like)
    Put sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
    Place biscuit pieces in the bowl and toss with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    Place biscuit pieces in the bunt pan.
    Melt butter and brown sugar, bring to a boil until it caramelizes.
    Pour over biscuit pieces in the ban.
    Back at 350 for 30 minutes or until browned on top.
    Cool for a few minutes and then invert on a plate!

    Some people are proper and cut slices of it with a knife but because of the biscuit pieces it is a great (though sticky) finger food.

    I hate monkey bread. You eat one piece and before you know it the entire pan is gone! LOL. A friends mom made one a few weeks ago and it was amazing.

    Yummy... I have a recipe that uses just cinamon and sugar over the cut up biscuits... this sounds even better though!  I've printed it out and will be sure to make it one lazy Saturday! :)

    I try to make it when I know there will be a lot of people around. For instance my brother is coming home next week and he counts as four people when it comes to food consumption so it's safe to make it then. ;-)

    Yeah, FI couldn't believe that I made it just for us two - but I realllyyyy wanted to just try the recipe out.  Luckily I'm leaving in the morning for Florida so I won't have to keep eating it.

    Oh yes, it would be a very good "I'm depressed and want to eat something really bad for me" kind of food.  Thank goodness I didn't have this recipe before I moved down here....I would have probably been making it every week!

    I hate all of you with your recipes. While I dearly appreciate them and this cookbook is turning out to be pretty epic, they all sound too delicious and I may have to try them all. So much for dieting. ;)

    I wonder if you could put it in a smaller pan and do a half batch? Everything else could be halved easily... Just trying to think of a pan it would work in.

    I'm sure you could put it in a different pan...but the bundt pan just gives it that orginal monkey bread kinda look...
