WTF?! Bugs in the flower girl dress!

Got a call from David's Bridal this afternoon telling me that my daughter's flower girl dress was ready. I go to pick it up and we were going to have Chey try it on when I see that there's a dead moth and some other dead bug and a few small specks of God only knows what else all caught in the skirt!!! WTF?!

SO I took it over to the woman at the front and she said she'd order us a replacement right away and checked to see when the wedding was so it wouldn't be late. I'm so disgusted right now! Why would they not LOOK at the dress before calling me?! The bug was plain as day with just one look at it!!! Should I demand free alterations or something if she needs it for the trouble with this? My goodness.

Ew! I agree with PP, definitely complain and push them to do something for you, that is just gross.

  • Yuck!  I would try to get a discount due to the hassle of you having to re-order and such.
  • Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
  • I'm not the type to really make a huge deal out of things - so I played it cool when I was there since there's no rush at the moment for the dress. BUT if it comes back and it needs to be shortened or something I'm going to request that they do the alterations for free for my trouble.

  • Thats gross. When my David's Bridal dress came in they inspected it before I could pick it up.
  • I refuse to deal with David's Bridal anymore.  So far they messed up my credit and tried to tell me I didnt have one.  When I showed up with the receipt they said they issued it to me already.  When I requested proof, and 10 phone calls later, they finally issued me a credit, but, I have to go pick up the piece of paper, they refuse to credit it to my daughters (everything is in my name) bridesmaid dresses and refuse to send me a check.
Another time they completely messed up when my other daughter went in for Bridesmaid dresses, (girls live out of state so coordinating was not easy), we picked everything out, the girls were going to order their dresses within the month, notes were taken.  When the first girl called to pay and order her dress, she was told they had never been there and noone had any info.  My daughter called (thinking there was a mistake on the girl's part).  Nope, DB had no record or anything.  Thank god my daughter is OCD and had all the info.
I have 5 daughters, after wedding no. 2 I stopped dealing with them.
  • This is the first time I have EVER had issues with DB. :-/
