Hey ladies! I'm new to posting on the boards, just wanted to say hi! My wedding's in September, I'm commissioning as a 2LT in May, and my FI is at Ranger School right now. I'm planning everything myself right now and ahh, I know I'll be fine and all that but it SUCKS that I can't talk to him for the next two months! It's killin me. I came here cause I thought some of you ladies might be/have been in the same situation. Most of my friends are single and don't understand as well. Anywho, minor rant over, I hope you all have a lovely Thursday!

...for some reason, it looks like a massive ballgown in the picture, but I swear it's more a-line than that!

And...I'm not entirely sure how to upload pictures otherwise I would show you a picture of my ring (sorry, I'm computer challenged!)

My colors are buttercup yellow and dark grey, and we're getting married at his chuch in Rochester, Michigan. I am so excited!

Thank you all so much!! AmandaSC1988 - not glad that you had to go through it too, but glad that someone understands what I'm going through! What did you do to distract yourself while he was gone? I've been throwing myself into wedding planning, but I want to find a hobby or something to distract myself in my free time I think. Did you do anything different?

This was several years ago, and I had my first full time internship, so I was lucky that I could go to work most of the day. After I got off I spend the time we would normally talk on the phone with my FI writing letters to him, if you can’t mail out the letters you can still journal… it helped me when I felt like I needed to talk. I also reconnected with friends I had let slip away while I was so “in-love.” I didn't really get any hobbies, except working. Haha.

I love your colors. Here in Seattle that color trend is called "Cloudy with a Chance of Sunbreaks" fitting for Seattle I suppose

The gown is beautiful, although we would much rather see pics of you IN it!
Since you said he is in Ranger school, Ie in the Army, I'm assuming that's the branch you have joined as well?

Planning alone definitely sucks. We started throwing ideas around while H was deployed, but didn't do anything concrete until he got back because I did NOT want to plan alone. Props on that! Do you have family/friends to help?

Seattle is a gorgeous city, sunny or cloudy - I was there when I was at Ft Lewis for training last summer. I loved it there!

If y'all can help me figure out how to upload pics on here I will definitely post pics of me in the dress and the ring so you can see it! I'm in the army too, ROTC right now but will be commissioning in May and joining the reserves as a 2LT military policewoman.

I'm planning mostly alone, but my mom has been fairly supportive and we got a lot of the main stuff done before he left. It just leaves all the little details to me now and hopefully I can guess well what he would like. I definitely miss him tons! I have until March 2nd. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later
