Tuxedos?

Where did you get tuxes from?  I went to Mens Wearhouse and liked the styles and colors for vests and ties, but wasn't sure if I should try a more local Mom and Pop type store. Anyone have a good/bad experience in Morris or Sussex County?

Hey! We're using Men's Wearhouse and it's been really great. It's convenient if the groomsmen are scattered around the state (which ours are). I had been considering suggesting a smaller tux shop to FI but figured that MW was more convenient in the long run. Plus FI gets his for free :)

Where are your groomsmen located? We literally have groomsmen across country so Men's Wearhouse is super easy and convenient for this reason. Also, since most tuxes have to be returned the day after the wedding, make sure the shop you choose has a location nearby.

</div><div>Two live in Sparta like us, one is in Stanhope, one is in NYC and my Dad is in Rockaway.   I see that a lot of websites for stores have measurement forms, so I'm thinking the NYC one won't have to make the trip out (unless they want to make a night out of it and go to dinner or something).  The closest MW is in Ledgewood and we don't have enough guys to qualify for the free groom's tux.  We're getting married in Florham Park, so Ledgewood is pretty much out of the way.  I'm trying to make it convenient for the guys to get measured and convenient for pick up and drop off. We're not leaving on our honeymoon until the Tuesday after, so I figured we would just collect them and return them or ask one of the guys to drop them off.  When I told FI that we needed to get going on this, he was like, "well, you're going to come and help us pick everything out, right?"  He cracks me up :)</div><div>
</div><div>Forget all of that, I just saw there is one in the Rockaway Mall :)

Might be worth looking into.  We ended up going to Exquisite Tuxedos (affilited with Exquisite Brides) in Millburn, NJ.  They had a very nice selection of tuxes, including summer weight tuxes (a lighter wool blend for summer weddings).  FI is not a huge fan of Men's Warehouse because the last time he rented a tuxfrom there for a wedding, there were some loose strings hanging off the jacket and pants and he was concerned about the quality.  Personally, I couldn't tell and I thought he looked nice.

The smaller shop ended up being only a bit more expensive - I think because he choose a designer suit.  They were also really easy to work with and accomodated our time issues without extra charge (we need the suit for about a week as the wedding is out of state).
