Oahu wedding venue

Hi ladies,

I'm trying to find a wedding venue in Oahu.  The ideal place would be somewhere with a view of the ocean (don't need to be a beach wedding). Looking for outdoor ceremony and maybe indoor reception since we are thinking of getting married in February. Outdoor reception would be acceptable if there is a backup plan when it rains.  Any ideas?  Thank you. Kiss

    Hi dl!

We mainly looked at waikiki for the hotel choices available. We're getting married at the moana surfrider with outdoor ceremony and indoor reception for that same reason. However if you want the reception outdoors and want a backup plan, the moana asks that you rent that room too, which didn't make sense to me. I also checked out Halekulani and it has a beautiful enclosed roof reception room.

There are lots of knotties that looked elsewhere on Oahu too.

We're thinking of Sunset Ranch. Greg has been wonderful to deal with. Check it out!

Besides hotels, you can check out off-beat places:
    Waikiki Aquarium

Not sure what their rain back-up would be....

or private estates like Sunset Ranch:
    Fanger Estate

I researched this place when I was looking for a venue (I'm also having my wedding at Sunset Ranch), and some of the reviews sounded sketchy.  I think they had noise complaints from neighbors in the area, but when I asked about it, the property manager denied it.

You didn't say how many guests, but for smaller receptions, there is the Oasis Estates and Bayer Estate.

We're at the Outrigger Reef.  Outdoor ceremony and reception with an indoor backup.  Overlooks waikiki beach, but up above the beach line, and we liked the all inclusive package they offered

You may have luck on vrbo.com depending on how large your wedding will be. We're renting a house that overlooks kaneohe bay and has space for our ceremony outside and we can keep food inside. (pics in bio)

@ aliciacharlie- do you know what your layout will be for Sunset Ranch? I have yet to visit since I am in California. 30 acres is HUGE! I have no idea what to do! Do you mind sharing your layout? Will you be using the barn area or will you be needing a tent?
