Boston Area Shower Venue that allows food/bev to be brought in

Hi there,

I am looking for a shower venue somewhere in the Boston area that will allow us to bring in food and beverage. An in door or outdoor space would be fine since it will be mid-October. There will be appromximately 40 guests. All of the places I have found seem to require you choose one of their preferred caterers and my family would like to provide the food instead. I love the idea of a farm, orchard or winery setting but  not sure where to look. Thank you for any and all suggestions!

    Have you tried community centers, va halls, etc? For a friends wedding shower one of the bridesmaids rented a large house for the day.

    In Hingam there are several places-the Sons of Italy, the community center and Glastonbury abbey conference center. I can think of others but rental fees get pricier. Also try church fellowship halls.

    You could look into Corinthian Hall in Melrose. http://www.corinthianhall.com/ I have spoken with them before and they are super friendly and hosts all sorts of different events.
