Is your Fi...

family yet?

I was telling Ahmed last night how i was so glad that he was gonna be my family.  He responded jokingly, "i'm not your family now".  I guess since we don't live together yet i don't consider him 'family'.  Of course he kinda is but i think we need to be married and living together for him to officially be family. So, do you consider ur Fi family yet?

FI became my family when I moved away from my "family" (i.e. parents and siblings) to live with him and I'm glad I made that decision.

He became family about the time we got engaged. My family is very welcoming like that and so it is. It's really felt like family the past few months though and I love that!

I do- but I think once you are married and take his name it will make it even more real! Cannot wait:)

We celebrate holidays with both our families now. I consider him family now, but I am sure it will feel a lot different after we are married. Especially with a new last name!

My FI hit it off with my family the day they met, and he's been family ever since, he calls my little sisters his sisters, he calls my mom, mom now instead of by her name, and when we stopped by my great grandma's the night he proposed the first thing she said to him was welcome to the family.
