  • The stupid escort cards - I completely forgot about them. My dear, darling, FI had thought about them as was going to recycle the RSVP cards and just put the table numbers on them for people. He was very excited about this idea too...

I have a lot of little things to do left.  I love the checklist on TK.  It keeps me on track of what I have left to do.  I try to do one or two things a week.  I wish I could figure out now how to make my invite info on my signature center.  My 91 is attached to my ticker.  :(

Crap I forgot about these. Add it to the list!

A few things are done just waiting to happen. I've got appointments in 2 weeks to set up our wedding pies and our final appointment with our venue so a lot will get done then. I need address invites and get those in the mail in the next 2 weeks. I still need to do hair/makeup trials. We need to write our ceremony still. Bahh there's more.

I try to take it one week at a time.  Today I started to type up our programs.  I also emailed my pastor and photographer with some simple questions.  My goal this week is to finish stuffing the invitations into the envelopes, because I'm mailing them out in 2 weeks.  I've already made appointments for April, and all vendors want to be called in May for final details.

  • We aren't doing escort cards, or seating assignments, or table numbers. It's all family, so whatever. The invitations are done.
I am not doing any DIY projects because I don't need to do any. There are a few things that I need to do but its all scheduled for April and May.... UGH!

  • I have to do escort cards but I can't really do them until we know who's coming.  Beyond that I have to finish addressing invites and put stamps on them.  Beyond that, I have to finish DIYing some pomanders and our card box.  Beyond that just putting ribbon on the bubbles for the ceremony exit and getting my dress fittings.

I'm sure there's more but I can't think of it right now off the top of my head.

I think you're onto something here sister! I'm wondering if it would work out great or if chaos would ensue. The reason I'm finally doing them is so the parents can host their own tables and the older adults can have the "good" seats and my college friends and co-workers will have the seats closer to the bar - win/win!

  • Thanks PP for telling me how to fix my signature!  We're not doing escort cards either. We're having a bunch of family and close friends, so we figure people will sit by who they want to talk to the most.  My big thing left to do is programs. We weren't going to to do any, but then figured we should.   I have this feeling things will sneak up on me!

  • My biggest thing right now is trying to find someone to coordinate the reception.  We are having it in the town FI lives in, where we will be living, but I don't know that many people there.

All of my friends live an hour and a half away, and I am nervous about asking them, because what if they decide at the last minute they can't make it.

This currently has me STRESSED OUT TO THE MAX!!
