boutonniere?

My FI doesn't really want to wear a flower on his tux (understandable, most guys don't like flowers)  Would a handkerchief/pocket square thing to match the vest and tie be a good replacement?  What would be a good idea besides a boutonniere?

Re: boutonniere?

  • A pocket square is perfectly fine to replace a bout. I've also seen people use shells, buttons, ornamental grass, etc

  • i think a handkerchief replacement is good.
  • I was thinking about doing this too. I don't care one way or the other if the guys wear a flower, and if it's cheaper, then I'd totally be on board with the guys just wearing a pocket square. I wouldn't miss the boutonnieres at all.
