Sending invitations out today! Tomorrow is technically the three month mark but I cannot wait anymore and people are asking us. I am so excited to get them out! Jo- Ann is having a sale on their flowers so I am going to finish picking up what I need for my kissing balls as well!
We had our tasting last night! We're having our reception at the Italian American Club in Livonia. I'm a LITTLE bummed though....the fettucini alfredo was AMAZING but it is $2/plate more!! Do you think it is best to pay $400 more for amazing fettucini or just spend the normal amount on penne with meat sauce that is good (or very good). I just don't want our guests to be disappointed.
Aloisk: If you did the penne, are you also doing a vegetarian option? Perhaps the alfredo could be your vegetarian option? I personally LOVE fettuccine alfredo, but I also know some folks think it's too heavy.
LOTON: That's SUPER cute.
I have no AWs this week!

<div>If it were me, I would spend the extra money on the food. But to me food is really important. It depends on what matters most to you and your FI, not your guests. I guess i'm just so used to disappointments that I didn't truly think that everything would work out just like we wanted. My aunt is an amazing gardner and does tea parties/showers and garden tours as a side business. I called her this week to ask her questions about wedding flowers and she offered to do all of my wedding flowers(at her wholesale cost)! Also FI and I both have next week off so we get to do lots of wedding stuff and spend some much needed time together :)</div>

I tend to be on the fettuchini-is-too-heavy train. If the penne is good/very good I'd probably save the $400. If you've got extra money lying around go for it but I don't personally think it's worth it.
Lauren--That's so cute I just threw up! (not really)

I say save the money. As a PP said, your geusts won't know that Alfredo was even in option. That $400 can be used elsewhere in your budget. As you get closer to your date, you will find a lot of little things eat up money.
My AW: We are in the single digits today! 9 days left. We had our final meeting with our photographer last night. Today I give the hall the final head count. And we have our rehearsal on Saturday (yes early, but best time to meet with our officant - and there is no bridal party, so it's just us). But yeah super excited with 9 days left!! :)

I love their fettucini, it is very good. But for us, I think we are just going to stick with the penne with marinara because that is always a favorite!

We had our reception there - we did not have the fettucine alfredo because I hate alfredo, but we did have both kinds of pasta - negotiate the sh!t out of that. We got both types of pasta for the price of 1 because my mom is a tough negotiator - if you really want it, don't settle, and I think you can probably get it for the same price.
I also agree with the person that mentioned the vegetarian option - we had both the penne w/ meat and w/o because they literally have no vegetarian option - which sucks, so this would be a good choice for those that need meatless.
