Comfy shoes?

I'm starting a CNA class on Monday and I need to buy shoes for it. Any recommendations for comfy shoes? I'm going to be on my feet for hours at a time.

My mom (a nurse) used to wear white Crocs to work, but I think they won't let her anymore.  Now she just has a pair of plain, white, broken in tennis shoes.  Do NOT use shape-ups or other toning shoes!

My mom is a nurse, and she's really never worn anything but Nike's. Literally every time she needed new shoes, she'd say "it's time to buy some new shoes. I need to switch it up a bit". And she would seriously walk away with another pair of Nike's lol. Her "switching it up" was a different color swish on the side lol.

I think just recently she actually did "switch it up" and bought some K-Swiss. She really like those too. But they weren't "old faithful" Nike.

I work in the shoe department at Kohl's so I have pretty decent idea of their shoes.
Do they have to be a specific type of shoes like tennis shoe? Or does it have just be closed toed? Some of the nurses that come in Kohl's like these shoes:

The ones in the middle, I personally wear to work and I'm on my feet for hours at a time. Just about all tennis shoes are comfortable to different people so it's finding the right one. Nike tends to have better arch support while New Balance is better for flat feet. Reebok are normally a little more narrow. KSwiss are very comfortable as well. I would advice looking for a walking shoe. I bought running shoes for walking and it did not work out well. Hope all of this helps
