I have vent this because it makes me soooo mad when I think about it. Someone I work with thinks it's ok to make fun of me because I'm younger. She does it all the time. Something on Monday happened and she said to one of the other girls, "Sandy watch what you say over there, we have a minor to your right" Are you kidding me??? I'm not a minor and haven't been for 4 years. Oh and I'm very soft spoken on the phone, so she says, "Did the person on the other end ask you if your mommy knows if you're using the phone?" Dude, STFU. I rather be soft spoken than loud and no one can talk over you when you're on the phone. Okay rant over, it's just been bothering me lately.

OMG that is obnoxious!!!!! That happened to me one time when I worked at my old job,I was the younger one in the office and hung out alot with these 2 other people who I really liked but were like 4 yrs older then me. I was just finishing up my undergrad so I was what like 21. Well they were having a conversation and I stopped by to say goodbye and got involved in what they were saying, Next thing you know the guy is saying to me, not now little girl, you are too young or something. I was so hurt because I've always been very mature and hung out with them all the time. I was like whatever goodbye and left. I couldn't believe it!

The guy was so upset he tried calling me to apologize, he's like i didn't mean for it to come out like that. I didn't talk to him for like 2 days. JERK

I would say to that so called "woman" "Are you always this condescending to eveyrone or you just happen to constantly do it to me?" I would LOVE, love, love to know what her reaction is. She'll keep doing it if you allow her to....so be the soft spoken person you are but put that biotch right back in her place...and do it w/ a smile. I've been there and done that!

As for my rant ...
I can't find an fing stylist that can do my hair! I CAN'T. I know it's not me. I thought I hit on someone who was recco'd ...went to this woman in White Plains...while she got the color and highlights ok -- just ok she too missed a few spots here and there! $250 fing dollars later I expect for you to get all the spots and not miss a few here and there. Plus it was a 45min drive for me to Westchester. If I choose someone in CT which will be my soon to be residence -- I'm moving in w/ my FI at the end of the month - everyone I've checked w/ is charging me up the wazoo for travelling. Leave it to me to pick a recpetion hall in Westchester ...Plus on top of it all I got a ticket because she took so long I'm now back to square one :-( I don't want someone who does my hair just for the wedding. I'm trying to find someone that can get use to me...the style I like...the color and highlights I want. I know some of the girls recco'd going to Jersey but my commute is so long during the week the last thing I want is to have to drive to Jersey or drive anywhere every 6 weeks when I need touch ups the stress is bringing grey into my hair arrrghhhh
<sniff /> I'm feeling bad for myself hahaha sorry but I am :-(

Jamie that is very annoying - I agree with pp your co-worker is probably just jealous that you are younger.

My wedding location is on my mind - I posted a couple weeks ago to get feedback/ideas on venues and we looked at 5 venues last weekend. We are looking in the Poughkeepsie area but live in Philly so we had to cram them all in on a weekend visit. The process of looking at venues was a lot more stressful than I expected. My parents came along and were just generally bickering (not about anything major but it was driving me crazy).

Right now we have a hold on a date at the Grandview and are waiting to hear from Mohonk on whether they are willing to lower their price at all. FI and I both really really love Mohonk but their price isn't that great for what's included and they only have Sundays available in Oct 2011, which is a huge probable dealbreaker in my book but FI doesn't see it as a big deal. We have to sit down and list the pros and cons and I'm hoping that will convince him (and me) that the Grandview is better. I just wish the decision was done with because it's stressing me out.

To top it off, I dislocated my shoulder at the driving range monday morning so I've been dealing with doctors and health insurance over. Ugh.

Thanks for the offer to help. FI and I had a talk about it this afternoon, wrote down the pros and cons of each venue and talked it out, and I'm pretty sure we are going to go with Grandview. We love Mohonk but I really want a Saturday wedding, and the logistics for the Grandview are so much easier with their connection to the Pok Grand.

We were thinking that as a compromise maybe we could organize a trip to Mohonk for some of our guests, maybe the day after the wedding just to go for a walk around the lake or something nice like that.
