We haven't started ours yet. We are waiting until after he comes home from his deployment. Our priest was willing to work out other ways, but we want to do it in person, and not over skype.

We're doing ours through our pastor. If your officiant offers premarital counseling, and it's someone that you've grown up with and knows either of you very well, they're most likely very flexible.
With myself and my fiance for example, we explained his military situation, and he said he would work with us as long as we had four sessions anytime before the wedding (counseling from him is required for us).

Also, if you end up having a problem with scheduling and can't do it, our pastor is making us take something called a Zoey Score (?). It's this 400 questions quiz online or something, and you take it by yourself, and have your SO take it by themselves, and the results tell what aspects of your relationship you need to work on (this is what I've heard). I kinda thought it sounded cool =)
"Hey, I'm getting married. But it's a secret." "*hushed gasp* That's the greatest secret I've ever heard!"

we are doing it through my pastor as well- well more like the premartial pastor, but on some of the days his drill schedule conflicts with the premarital counseling dates. its all on Saturdays, but im unsure if we do the Zoey Score if that is considered premartial counseling or not. I just really hope we can get all 6 classes done before our wedding next July.

Since we're in ABQ and our pastor is in Ft. Worth, we are doing the counseling through email. I would much rather do it in person but it was just not an option. Our pastor is very flexible though. Also, the Fort Worth location to get your marriage license offers it for free to anyone in the military :)

We are doing a Pre Cana one day class on a Sat. in Aug. Because we are not only required to do pre-martial counseling but a Marriage Class as well. After we get complete the One Day Class; we will then do pre-martial through our Priest. He is willing to do it in 2 sessions one on one in person during his leave time.
That is what we have worked out but what a cluster! :-) It took me months to find a class we could both make (him being Vance AFB in Oklahoma and Me being in Minnesota)
We tried going through Vance AFB but it was such a mess it ended up not working out.

Our pastor requires premarital counseling. Luckily the pastor knows my family well and once the situation was explained said that we had ot have two before the wedding.  We were able to sqeeze in one when he was home for his 2 weeks r&r and will do another when he actaully gets back from deployment.
