Re: Hotels in Bahamas

  • We staying at the RIU which is right next door to Atlantis.  It is an all-inclusive resort right on the beach.  They have entertainment every night and it was fun.   What is nice, we were able to walk over to Atlantis to the shops and casino without paying the fortune to stay there.

  • We stay at the Atlantis whenever we go there - I'd recommend it in a heartbeat! They now offer packages where you can prepay for food which makes it a little more 'all inclusive'... I don't think it's worth it, yet somehow we still do it because it's just easier. There's a ton to do on site -- you never have to leave the resort. There's also different accommodations you can choose from so you don't have to spend a lot if you don't want to.

  • I have stayed at the Atlantis and the Wyndham.  Wyndham is a disappointment, however, The Atlantis is great and has a lot to do.  Another resort that I haven't stayed at, but looks amazing is the One and Only Ocean Club (it is a couples resort too)

  • We just got back from the Bahamas last week. We stayed at the Comfort Suites. The hotel was awesome, the rooms had kitchenettes, and a sitting area with a desk and pull out couch. All of the rooms had brand new flat screen TV's and the staff was very accommodating. Included in our room price was full access to the Atlantis and their entire property and all of their amenities, and free breakfast every day. Comfort Suites was defiantly less expensive than the Atlantis but we reaped all of the benefits. And the Atlantis was located directly behind the hotel, and was a 30 second walk. I would defiantly stay at the Comfort Suites again!
  • We stayed at the AI Breezes in Nassau and loved it.
  • I've stayed at Riu and Breezes. Riu was just remodeled last November and it is very nice. The rooms are pleasing and comfortable. It's been four or five years since I was at Breezes so I don't know what state the resort is in. Food and drinks were great at both. Breezes had the better beach and pool. Riu was easier to walk to everything - you could walk to Atlantis, downtown Nassau, the Cloister... From Breezes you had to take a bus to get to downtown Nassau. The food and accomodations were much better at both than the cruise I went out, but the cruise had better entertainment.
    Kinda Regards, Erica
