Wher are you staying on your wedding night?

FI and I just booked our wedding night hotel, it's a cute little Bed & Breakfast in Jacksonville, OR. We are staying in the Frank TouVelle room :)

  • We are staying in a suite at our local Crowne Plaza. :)
  • Very cute!! I am not sure where we are staying yet... I would like to spend the night in a hotel, however I am not sure if we can afford to do that right now.

  • looks adorable.

FI and I do not live together yet.  We have been looking for a while now (with not much luck), so we have decided to rent.  We were originally going to go ahead and move in when we found a place, but since it's so close now... we're just going to spend a month or so getting everything moved in and situated and spend our first night there on our wedding night.  We live and are getting married in a very small town... you have to travel at lease 40min to find any place to stay for the night.... so we're just going to go home! :)

  • We're staying at The Marriott in Downtown Mpls, which is one of our hotel blocks. If 10 rooms get booked we get one for free. :)
  • We are staying at the Hilton where our reception is located. The Honeymoon Suite is complimentary so we did save on that.

  • We are staying in the same hotel as our guests the night of the wedding.

  • As close to the airport as possible in the cheapest room possible. We figure we'll get there around 11:30pm, and our flight is at 6:30am. I'm not anticipating great romance, lol.

We are staying the whole wedding weekend (Thurs-Mon) in the delux suite that came with our wedding package. We got the wedding night free and the other nights we managed to get pretty cheaply.

  • We are going to stay in our house even though we already live there and together. We are getting up early the next morning to get on the road and start our honeymoon!
  • We're staying at a big casino/hotel in a nice room. My grandparents booked that for us the other day :)

  • We are staying at the hotel/inn where all wedding events will take place, from Friday night's bonfire to Sunday's brunch. They have a number of different types of rooms scattered throughout the grounds. My family is staying all in one building, and his family all in another building.

They have a honeymoon suite, but it shares a wall with another room,, so we decided to skip that and trade it in for the lakeside cottage they have, which is completely remote and well, lakeside :)  Best way to wake up on our first day of wedded bliss :)

  • Our wedding is, I guess, a "destination" wedding, being 2 hours away from where FI & I live, 1 hour away from where most of my family lives, and 3 hours away from where FI's family lives.  Our reception is at a lodge, which is also a hotel.  The majority of our wedding guests will be staying there the night of the reception.  So will we!

  • I don't know!

No, it's not because I'm not a planner, because I am.  It's because my FI thinks he needs to make it a surprise, which is sweet.  But it's still driving me crazy - lol.
  • lol marcee, it would drive me crazy too...FI likes to suprise me lots and i HATE it, i mean i love the suprises he does a good job, but i hate the not knowing whats happening.

For our wedding night my birthparents are putting us up in a hotel for 2 nights before we go on our honeymoon, its thier wedding gift to us. i thought it was very generous and im thankful not to have to go spend the night in the bnb where the family is which was the orginal plan.

  • We will be spending our fist night together at our house! (Well, besides a couple sleep overs since FI already lives there. This way we will be able to sleep in since our flight doesn't leave until 7 that evening.
  • We'll be spending it at the same hotel as our guests.

  • we are not telling any of our friends or family where we are staying on our wedding night.  we are leading people to believe that we are going to a hotel for a couple of days, but we decided to just spend time at home with no one to bother us.  we figure that since everyone thinks we are going to be away no one will call or visit.

  • We are staying at the B&B that is part of our venue...the room is part of our venue package. :)
  • We are doing the same as PP.  Staying at the hotel from Friday to Sunday brunch.  All of our OOT guests (and even in town family) will be staying there too.

  • We're driving an hour after the reception to get to our hotel near downtown Birmingham. FI says he doesn't mind driving, and he really wants to stay at this place... Bright side is we'll be far away from everyone else so we won't be bogged down with having to see anyone/ get dragged back into clean up the next morning.
