Winter wedding venue ideas and other Q's!!

Hello! One of my favorite things about Minnesota is the winter/snow. Everyone calls me crazy but living with no snow my entire life and then moving to MN was a shock and i don't think I will ever get tired of the snow. 

Do you have any ideas for a good ceremony/reception venue that can hold 140 people? Even though it's going to be inside, I don't want to feel like I am. I love how the city, or any place really, looks with snow all around and such so i would defnitely want a place where you can see the outside you know? My budget is 15k.

Another question is, I have been budgeting for a while, and maybe its because I haven't done it before and I'm not doing it right or what but..even 15k doesn't seem like enough. HELP!

    Is 15k for your whole wedding or just for the reception?

    Check out Oak Marsh Golf course.  I am having my reception there in the Grand Oak room and it has huge windows overlooking the golf course that would look beautiful in the winter with all the snow. They do ceremony and receptions on location.

    I'm having a winter wedding, :) I am going with the Landmark Center. You can't really see the outside much from the main atrium, but you can get gorgeous outdoor photos in Rice Park.

    If I remember correctly, Stonebrooke Golf Course has big windows overlooking their golf course, too. Kayla, you've been there much more recently than me, can you confirm? Their prices are really good too, for the quality of what you get. H and I thought about this place, but Shakopee was further away from the city for what we wanted.

    I am having a winter wedding too.  I am getting married at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville, MN. The whole room is surrounded by windows overlooking the golf course covered in snow.  It also has a large patio.

    15K is def. doable. My max is 10K for about 125 people although I am hoping to keep it closer to 8K.

    These ladies have helped me out so much! You have come to the right place.

    This places is beautiful in the winter and looks out onto the small pond and offers ice skating.

    I did look at Centennial lakes, it would be perfect except for the fact that I have a guestlist of about 140 people. I need to budget a little bit better, maybe I am missing something. But I go over 15k everytime AND I am not even putting on there my wedding dress and hair/makeup and such. My mom wanted to pay for it.

    My sister got married at the Varsity Theater in Dinkytown last November .. the day of the first huge snow storm ... it was GORGEOUS!
