menu cards?

We opted to give all of our guests (except those with dietary restrictions) a duo of half chicken half beef tenderloin.  Everyone will be getting the same salad and cake.  Is it necessary to have menu cards so that people know what they'll be eating?

Re: menu cards?

  • Not necessary at all.  The point of menu cards is if you are having a selection of entrees and your guests will be picking them that night.

  • I'm thinking that I'll frame one menu per table (or maybe two... depends on the size of the cards we choose), so that guests can see what they're going to be eating that night. The last wedding I was at had menu cards at every place and most got recycled.
  • We are thinking of doing one per table. Alot easier than one at each place setting. They just end up in the trash anyways.
  • I was going to do menu cards at each place setting just because...but I am re-thinking it a little. I mean they look nice and add a certain something to the decor, but where will they end up: all my hard work in the trash. I guess the same can be said for invites too anyway.
