Spanish songs?? Please help!!

My FI's family is hispanic and, although he doesn't speak Spanish, I want some good Spanish songs for the family members who do. His Mother is even paying for Mariachi's to play through dinner! I welcome any and all advise, also we'd like to find a nice Mother/Son dance song in Spanish. Thank you!

Something by Luis Miguel, Juan Gabriel, Mana, Marco Antonio Solis,  Jose Alfredo Jimenez, etc.  Go to itunes and have your fiance listen to the most popular Romatnic Latin  itunes samples. Even if he doesn't speak Spanish, he'll be able to tell which ones she likes.     Marco Antonio Solis is  a good one. Ask his mother.   Does she like ranchera, cumbia, bachata?   Lots of good choices.

Ask his parents and aunts and uncles what they would like to hear, just like there are different genres of english music, there are different genres of spanish music and you want to make sure that you're playing the kind of music they like. We had Spanish and English music played so I went righ to my parents and asked for specific songs they loved and would dance to if played.

Thank you both soooo much for the advice! I've actually asked my future M.I.L. for spanish song suggestions and she just says , "Oh honey whatever you want." lol Other than Shakira and Los Lobos version of 'La Bamba', I can admit I'm ignorant about spanish music. I do love Mariachis, but my F.H. and I don't really know what to ask them to play. lol

Does your FI have a lot of cousins? They most likely will like more modern cumbias, duranguense, reggaeton. Play some stuff by Kumbia Kings, Alacranes, Selena. Google tejano radio stations and listen to some of the songs they play for some more ideas! Also, boys 2 men has a spanish version of Song for Mama. That would be a beautiful song for him and his mom.

We had a Spanish, American and some Irish music played at our wedding.
EVERYONE got up for La Vida es Un Carnaval-Celia Cruz.  I second Luis Miguel and a Selena song.
